I would also like to suggest that the snooker shack be furnished with large leather chairs that sqeak when you move and if we could have a wall with first edition books from the latter centuries. I dont mind paying $10 to help with the cost of this.

I was wondering if there would be any chance of having a tour of the school set up? I know it's a weekend, but I wonder if the school board would allow it for this special occasion? See you in June!

06/15/09 10:16 AM #10     Leslie Fleming The Reunion was a lot of fun and an event that was definately enjoyed by all that were there. Thankyou sooo much to Troy, Desiree, Tanya and Darla and your spouses for putting up with all of this, you guys did a great job and really do deserve the recognition. Special thanks to Desiree and Al for hosting the event. Thanks again to all that were involved and attended it was a fun night and great to see where life has taken everyone! I am putting this out there now...How about in two years we get together again and celebrate the class of 1989 turning 40? A lot of you I spoke with said you would be interested in doing this again. Any suggestion, feedback or volunteers to help with this as Troy is officially retired and going to be very busy with his new child. I was thinking renting a hall, asking Kevins band to play, late supper/snacks, dance all night, etc. Think about it...take care all, great to see you!

06/15/09 10:59 AM #11     Stacey Sookerokoff I am IN re: Leslie's idea and would for sure be up for helping organize. Not sure about the rest of you but 40 is going to be a hard one for me. I don't handle ageing well and this might be a fun way to soften the blow! :)

I know it is not easy managing your career's & family at the same time, but hats off to you all! Desiree & Al thank you for hosting this event at your venue it was a great atmosphere & the food was excellent!! I am up for another reunion in 2 years so if anyone wants to take the challenge on of organizing have at it. Leslie I really like your idea of a hall & Kevin's band playing if we can book them? It was really great seeing you all again & its too bad I didn't get a chance to chat with everyone. Take care & hope to see you at the next one!! ~Lana

Being involved on the planning committee was a whole lot of fun, especially catching up with many of you (at least briefly) by the odd email or phone call over the past year. Sheldon McPherson has agreed to take the lead on another reunion in five years, but a massive 40th birthday bash seems like a great plan. Sheldon has been given control of the website, so you can work with him to get things organized. This is exactly why I registered www.MountRoyalReunion.com for the next ten years... so it could be used repeatedly, even for smaller events... there is much tha can be done with it from posting announcements to emailing the class. I look forward to seeing everyone again, and being able to stay awake past 10:30 p.m. (pretty sure I WON'T be pregnant at the next bash : )
