MACKISEY, Tara  - Tara Lynn Mackisey, late of Lloydminster, SK passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the age of 46 years. She was predeceased by her cherished babas Mary Wingerak and Olga Kindrat; gidos Tony Mackisey and William Kindrat; grandparents Raymond and Pearl McLean; and loving uncles Peter Mackisey, Willard Mackisey, Walter Kopeck, and Terry Kindrat. Tara will be lovingly remembered by her father Garry Mackisey and mom Roberta Mackisey; brother Kevin (Alison) Mackisey; nephews Hayden Mackisey and Dilon Colbourne; niece Alicia Colbourne; mother Judy Wallace; uncles Allan (Audrey) Mackisey and Gerald (Cathy) Mackesey; aunts Debbie Mackisey (Clyde Nobbee), Dianne Mackisey, Elise Mackisey, Gail Mackisey, Pat (Bill) Therens, Eleanor McLean and Bev Kopeck; as well as many cousins and friends. Tara was born in Yorkton, SK on October 20, 1971. She moved to Saskatoon in grade six and then to Regina after graduation. She worked in several restaurants and for many years in the floor cleaning business. Tara then began working at 7-Eleven, upgrading herself to manager. She moved to Lloydminster to become manager of 7-Eleven, then to Red Deer and back to Lloydminster. She left 7-Eleven and worked at a laundromat in Lloydminster for a short while, then went back to school to become a registered massage therapist, a job that she truly enjoyed. Tara was a very friendly, kind, and hardworking person who was always willing to help anyone. Tara loved rocks and salt lamps and truly believed in their healing powers. She always planned to return to playing the flute which she had enjoyed in high school. She loved animals and still missed two rabbits she had years ago, especially her favourite PikaChu. She liked to sit in her chair by the window and read and enjoy the birds and nature outside. She loved working with all of her massage therapy clients and was loved by all of them. She was very happy with her career but unfortunately began to struggle with health issues. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Athanasius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 55 McMurchy Avenue, Regina, SK. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the St. Athanasius Memorial Church Fund.
