Francis Trzciak

OCTOBER 4, 1942 ~ APRIL 9, 2018 (AGE 75)

Rotterdam – Francis J. Trzeciak, age 75, passed away on Monday, April 9th, 2018 at Hudson Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Frank was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Andrew and Stella (Lalack) Trzeciak.

A lifelong area resident, Frank honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he earned a purple heart. For 39 years Frank worked for the US Postal Service, 25 of those years were spent as a letter carrier and during the last 15 years he worked on computers at the Karner Road post office.

Frank was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Some of his other hobbies included playing cards, bowling and dancing and listening to polka music.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Elaine C. (Sarnowicz) Trzeciak, his son, Jeffrey Trzeciak (Cari), grandchildren, Jeffrey and Daniel Trzeciak as well as his brothers, Edward, Joseph and Richard Trzeciak and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Frank is predeceased by two brothers, John and Stanley Trzeciak.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 8-9:45am at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Avenue in Rotterdam. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30am at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 210 Princetown Road. Interment with military honors will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady.
