Attended Texas A&I in Kingsville, after college accepted a job in Denver, Colorado in Public Relations/Marketing.

Left Colorado in 1972 and returned to Texas where I began my career in the Corrugated Packaging industry for a start-up company and eventually ended up working for Stone Container Corporation until 1992.

In 1982 was involved in a car accident where I broke my neck which was the impetus for Kim to form her own company in 1983 ( Ink Link ) as we would not have survived on her then teacher's salary. Short story is; I left the Corporate world in 1992 and joined forces with Kim. Our company, now Global Print Group, is in the Printing, Promotional Products and Packaging business and we count ourselves as very fortunate for our loyal and faithful client base that continues to sustain us during these challenging economic times.

We have 2 children, Shannon & Evan. Shannon works in the HR arena for Axiom Medical as their Benefits Manager. Evan is being groomed to take over the family business @ Global Print Group. He is also a Master Craftsman Woodworker. Hopefully, this year, (thank you COVID 19) Kim and I when saddle up those retirement ponies and ride off into the ever-changing sunset. If all goes as planned we'll be doing much more traveling so don't be surprised if we show up unannounced at your doorstep one day...especially if the local Marriott is FULLY BOOKED. Who needs reservations when you've got classmates; right? Shannon (recently married to Matthew) and Evan are great young adults with the same challenges and obstacles we all face but continue to be meaningful adults with great hearts, focus, a determination to succeed and contributors to
society. Our motto: "Be a fountain...Not a drain !"

Right on time for these Birthday Wishes. I'm figuring by now you're coming off the sugar high from your Birthday cake and back to normal...Whatever that may be these days! I'm still trying to un-see that photo of Ron, Catharine has obviously whupped him into shape. I just can't figure out if it's a parallelogram, octagon or obtuse triangle. Let me know if you figure it out before your next Birthday but enjoy this one in the meantime.
