Connie was born August 11, 1947 to Frank and Bernice Rystrom, in Scottsbluff, NE. 

Connie attended Bryant Grade School, Scottsbluff High School, Kearney State and Chardon State colleges and taught special education after acquiring her degree.  She worked at the Scottsbluff Country Club as well as Woolworth’s and Dash-Inn.  While attending high school, Connie was involved in cheerleading, twirling, Skittens, and was a class officer.

At an early age she began her lifelong passion of collecting dolls, horses and cars.  Connie met her future husband, Roger Frank, while in junior high and the two were married at First Christian Church on February 11, 1967.  After they married she became involved in family businesses: Frank Implement, Frank Motors, Holiday Inn Express,  Deere Crossing Gift Shop, Powerhouse Building and residential and commercial real estate.  She was instrumental in forming the Farmers’ Market and various other city improvements.  She was active in her church, an avid gardener, and traveled extensively for pleasure and to Barrett Jackson auction, and was a member of the Panhandle Doll Club, United Federation of Doll Clubs, Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO), Zebra’s Book Club and Questers.  She supported her seven grandchildren’s sport and dance activities whole heartedly throughout the years.

Connie is survived by her sons, Jason and Partner Vincent Lopez of New York, Bryan (Holly) of Scottsbluff, daughter, Alyssa of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Jackson, Mitchell, Lincoln, Barrett, Herman, Chevy and Esprit; sisters, Janice Hornbacher of Mesa Arizona, Marilyn Snyder (Malcolm) of Denver, CO, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Steele of Scottsbluff, Ruby Keller of Gering, Cheryl Petrig (Jim) of Lincoln and Debbie Potts of Fort Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Aunt Mabel and Uncle Dick Fertil, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman and Pauline Frank, brother-in-law, Harley Hornbacher, sisters-in-law, Marion Wood and Peggy Frank, and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Steele and Gerold Keller.

Connie Lee Frank, 70, of Scottsbluff, entered into rest Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO due to complications from an unexpected stroke.

Her funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Dale Brown officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff.

Visitation will be Friday, March 2, 2018 from 12pm until 7pm at Bridgman Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. The family respectfully requests that memorials in Connie’s honor be made in care of Salem Congregational Church or Festival of Hope. Online condolences may be left at www.bridgmanfuneralhome.com.
