God of peace,

          We  are here tonight  to share all the joys of our lives in high school--  shared stories, friends from kindergarten, or friends just a few years of our  school years.  During these years we formed many friendships with our classmates.  54 of our classmates have left us way too early.  Some from accidents, some from the horrible war, others from the curse of disease, others from unknown causes.  We miss them, as they were part of our body of students and they were our friends.

          We pause to remember these missing classmates and wish they were with us tonight to celebrate.  Thank you for bringing these friends into our lives and thank you for the enrichment they have had on us and the impact on our class.  Though they are not in our earthly presence, they are forever in our thoughts, in our hearts, and in our prayers.  Rest in peace our friends.
