Jodene Kay Purvis Infanger
September 12, 1947 – May 17, 2016

Jodene Kay Infanger, 68, died on May 17, 2016 at her home in Grand Junction, Colorado.  Her memorial service was held on May 23 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary with burial in Yampa, Colorado.

Jodene Purvis was born September 12, 1947 in Alhambra, California to Harry and Betty Purvis and later lived in Crestline, California.  In 1959, the family moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska, her mother’s hometown.   Jodene graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1965 and in 1967 married Harold Infanger who taught at Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff.  In 1969 they moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming where Harold taught at Hot Springs County High School.  Jodene worked as a secretary until 1988, when she returned to Scottsbluff to attend the University of Nebraska School of Nursing, where she earned her bachelor’s degree.  After returning to Thermopolis, she worked as an RN until retiring in 2008.  After retirement she worked part-time at Sam’s Club as a customer service representative until the time of her death. 

Jodene loved family and enjoyed reading, watching movies, and working with others; always going out of her way to help anyone who needed assistance. 

Jodene is survived by her husband, Harold of 48 years, sons - Jon Infanger (Barbara) of Fruita, Colorado and Kurt Infanger of Casper, Wyoming; granddaughter MacKenzie Infanger also of Casper, Wyoming, and brother Jerry Purvis of Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Betty Purvis.
