Bev first approached me when we moved to our neighborhood on 24th and Avenue I.  We were inseparable for the next 3 years.

Bev was never shy or embarrassed to say she was my friend and wanted to learn everything Mexican - the cooking, the dancing, the language, and the music.  When she learned that I was a member of the Guadalupe Folk Dancers, she asked if she could join the troop, and join she did.  We danced with the group for the next two years.  I will never forget the memories we made.

When JFK was assassinated, we went to her church to pray and contemplate the horrendous act that been committed against the country.  It was much to take in as teenagers.

I couldn't have asked for a better friend while I was in high school.
