JUDITH “JUDI” ANN FARLOW, 77

June 15, 1947 - January 2, 2025

Judith “Judi” Ann Farlow, 77, of Scottsbluff, NE passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025. Cremation has taken place with no services planned at this time.

Judi was born June 15, 1947, to Jean (Rhodes) and Charles “Chuck” Crane in Omaha, NE.  Her family moved to Scottsbluff when she was very young.  She attended Scottsbluff Public Schools, graduating in 1965.  She then attended Scottsbluff Junior College and finished up her elementary teaching degree at Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff, graduating with honors in 1969.  She did her student teaching at Longfellow Elementary in Scottsbluff, before taking her first job as a third-grade teacher at Mitchell Elementary.  She later taught fourth grade and Title 1 reading as well.  Judi retired after teaching 39 years at Mitchell Elementary.  She loved teaching and helping her students.

Judi married Dan Paetow to whom two children were born, Elizabeth (Beth) and Jack. She later went on to marry Jim Farlow and three stepchildren were added to the family, Chuck, Debbie, and Katie.

She loved spending time with family and friends at their cabins near Laramie Peak, Wyoming.  She was an avid reader, always had a new book ready when she finished the last one.  She was a fervent fan of Jeopardy, most often knowing the final answer. Judi was also an avid sports fan - if she wasn’t watching game shows or reading, she was watching sports.  Her favorite teams of course being the Huskers and Broncos.

Judi is survived by her daughter Beth Clemens; son Jack (Sarah) Paetow; stepchildren Chuck Farlow, Debbie Pearson, and Katie Camacho; grandchildren Zach (Rita) Clemens, Andrew Clemens, Addi Clemens, Trey Clemens, Ty Paetow, Ellison Paetow, Morgan Paetow; 2 great grandchildren Theo and Khai.

Preceding her in death were her parents Jean and Chuck and her brother Hank.
