Timothy Joe Popp

18 October 1946–14 June 2000

Timothy J Popp was born on October 18, 1946 to Wilhelm “William” Popp and Katherine Kraft in Scottsbluff, NE, and passed away at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff at the age of 53.

Tim was raised and educated in Scottsbluff and graduated with the Class of 1965.  He attended Kearney State College and graduated in 1963, then working as a Youth Counselor at the Kearney Juvenile Center.  He went on to work as Counselor for the State of Idaho Department of Corrections for troubled youth.

Tim retired and returned to Scottsbluff due to failing health.  He was surrounded by his loving family and his dedicated health care providers at his passing.

Tim is survived by his brothers, Marvin Popp of Aurora, CO, Tony Popp of Scottsbluff, Thomas Popp of Gering, Keith Popp of Chadron, and sisters, Jane Missi of Scottsbluff, Dorothy Kivett of Burlington, IA, Joyce McClellan of Ontario, CA, and many nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

A Memorial service was held on June 17, 2000 at Joliffe Funeral Home with Pastor Willie Coop officiating.  Cremation took place at his request.
