Kenneth P. Beeman

Kenneth P. Beeman, 67, of rural Shelby, died on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Butler County Hospital in David City, Neb.

A celebration of life service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1800 S. 84th on Friday, July 18, at 3 p.m. Casual attire is requested.

Inurnment of ashes in Scottsbluff at a later date.

Ken was born Feb. 1, 1947 in Scottsbluff, to Paul and Freda (Bernhardt) Beeman. He attended elementary and high school in Scottsbluff, and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, where he received his degrees. A long time educator Ken served students at East Butler Schools in Brainard, Madrid Wheatland, Stromsburg Public, Hyannis Public, Cedar Rapids Public, and the schools in North Platte.

He is survived by spouse, Garlyn; daughters, Darla (Stephan) Andersen of Lincoln, and Darci (Ki) Fanning of Eagle, and grandchildren Blake and Krista Andersen and Josie, Wyatt, Colt and Tate Fanning.
