On November 20, 2021, the following information was discovered on Clarissa’s passing:

Clarissa LaMont Nyland 36, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 1983, in Scottsbluff, NE.  She was born on July 22, 1946 to Lawrence and Clara (Red Shirt) LaMont at Pine Ridge, SD and attended schools in Scottsbluff, graduating from Scottsbluff High School in 1965.  At the time of her passing she resided at 1005 15^th Avenue, Scottsbluff, NE.

A funeral was held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Scottsbluff with the Reverends Lewis Warren and Clyde Whitney officiating.  Burial was at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering, NE.

At the time of her passing, her survivors included her daughters Marsha and Clarissa Marie, sons Travis and Pleasant – all at home; brothers Marvin LaMont, Larry LaMont, and Leonard LaMont, sisters Marvina LaMont Matzke, Jennie LaMont Gonzalez, and parents, Lawrence and Clara LaMont of Scottsbluff.

A memorial in tribute of Clarissa was established to the family.
