Lyn Dale Coe:   September 24, 1947 - November 26, 2022

Lyn Sterkel Coe was born to Benjamin and Lois (Beliel) Sterkel on September 24, 1947, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska where she was raised and attended Scottsbluff schools.  

Lyn was united in marriage to John Coe on May 31, 1964, in Scottsbluff, and they were blessed with two children - Jeffry and Gena.  Lyn and John resided in Bois D’Arc, Missouri at the time of her passing.  

Lyn took great pride in being a wife, mother, and homemaker.  Lyn’s bigger-than-life personality, combined with her genuine spirit of giving, made her a superstar among numerous charities across several states. She authored a very popular cookbook that raised thousands of dollars for child abuse awareness and prevention.  She loved to travel the world with her husband, John, cruising on ships to unforgettable destinations, and had various past time interests which included bowling, dancing, playing cards, and competing in Scrabble - her favorite board game.  

Lyn was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her husband, John, son, Jeffry (Rhoada) Coe, daughter, Gena Coe, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sister, Tammy Hunt and husband Loren, Uncle, Ralph Beliel of Minatare, NE, and a host of extended family members and friends. 

A memorial service to celebrate Lyn’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.  Immediately following the service, Lyn’s family will host a luncheon in her memory.
