Mi,
That's why I got into Special Ed. After my daughters DX and then my own, I learned all I could about ADHD and other "disorders". I was working as a teachers asst. at the time and always given the "low" or "the behavior problem" students to work with. I began to see the ignorance of many teachers to these "disorders", and became infuriated at how some of these kids were treated.

John,
Still waiting..what IS a "rostrom" ?

To all who truly wonder: From our friends at Merriam Webster, no doubt it wasn't the definition as much as the misspelling that threw us... : )

I wonder if JM is referring to Ms. Broderick the English teacher - she was always good for some erratic behavior.

Do you all recall when we were freshman and we were supposed to have bottom lockers, but they mixed up and we got the top ones? I remember getting some real grief from the seniors and juniors early that year!

Phil Suggs

What's up Jeff ..

4 years and I don't remember seeing much of my locker.

04/08/09 11:31 PM #688

Jeff Hoganson

Hey Phil!

My most vivid memory of those lockers is being locked out trying to recall the specific numbers to the combination after having opened it on "auto pilot" the last hundred times before that.

Lisa Stephens

No Dave, I wasn't at the beach house. I had to go pick my girls up at the airport..I went to the Burbank airport and through a series of clues..it turns out they were at LAX..so I was driving for about 3 and a half hours..just another "normal" day in my life.. (and another chapter for my book :)

Lisa...

Dont sweat the airport stuff... LA has way to many to keep track. My wife and middle daughter flew into LAX last night... did you see them??? Oh yea, it would help if you knew them. My other two daughters and I will be flying in late tonight.

I knew way too many who suffered from attention disorders... I am glad there is a better handle today. Thanks for working with the special needs kids!!!

Shane, I drive a Honda..no mini vans here..I'll get my 1998 Jaguar some day :)

When I teach I try to come up with novel ideas like.. making learning fun and challenging (what a concept!
:))..the ADHDers are all over that!

Jeff Spielman

Mimi,
I have your hoola hoop here in the box with me and the rest of the special needs kids. OMGoodness that's the first time I've ever been put in THAT box.

Please, people, settle down. I'm not scared for life (well maybe a little). I'm not angry or a shamed or anything. I just like to push the boundaries and stay one step ahead. That landed me in some sticky situations occasionally.

It wasn't Mrs. Abrahmson that put me in the box.

And BTW - It is a podium and I think it was Mrs Fortch.

Mi,
Dream interp: You're holding back the YOU that wants to cut loose and be that wild and playful(Modonna)kid you are inside, but part of you is defending (Donald Rumsfeld-ex Secretary of Defense)the old self consciousness you had as a teen..
The seafood and milk: You might be low in Omega 3 fatty acids (brain food) and make sure your taking a calcium supplement.

Shane,
I never saw you in a dunce cap (was kidding)...I must not have been in your class that year..no memory of a dunce cap..
Thanks Shane, I would teach your son anytime :) When do I get to meet him?

I remember Carl Finch...not from school, but he worked at the Sugar Bowl with me...Didn't he go to Scottsdale High?

Mary (Mimi) Siders,

Actually, I know of two of our classmates that were police officers locally but are already retired from that career. I am one of them. I don’t have a lot of memories of when I went to Mohave or Saguaro. But if I happen to recognize anyone at the reunion, let us hope it is not from my previous career.

Robert Lacivita

Officer Joe,

Thank you for your service sir....

If you think that you may "recognise" me as some one that you may have meet before....I look a lot like "Steven King".
I look forward to our meeting..."I'm sure that you must have a good tale or two":.

Wasn't Gary Troyllio a cop also? (I'm sure that I have carved up his last name)

Hey Y'all...don't forget to tell your children that Sunday
isn't all about the "colored pagan eggs". Something else "really huge" went down. (they will thank you later in life, guaranteed)

04/11/09 05:18 PM #704

Robert Lacivita

Why Bernina,

"Buddy o'l Pal"......I haven't the foggiest idea of what your talking about.

I'm referring to the "Dirt Bikers" movie classic that was released on Easter Sunday some 33 years ago.

"ON ANY SUNDAY"

I think if you want an "unbiased opinion" on what "really happened"....from a religious and historical point of view, pertaining to the resurrection of one "Son of Man".

Read the historical writings of one "Flavius Josephus".
(official on scene Jerusalem Reporter to Rome. Reporters back then reported the news "truthfully" to the Emperor.
By penalty of death. How would you like to report to Rome that on that day, "the day turned into night".)

04/11/09 05:46 PM #705

Robert Lacivita

"Are we not dorks?"

04/11/09 05:55 PM #706

Robert Lacivita

Mi,

I'm sitting here and I think I'm getting "THINNER"

B,
I once told a contractor that his ass was so tight..
"you couldn't pull a pin out of it with a tractor".
