Bernina,
Speaking from the Christian camp - yes most of us are aware that Christ wasn't actually born on Dec. 25th.

I catered an interesting event the other night. It was for a Messianic Jewish Synagogue, they are Jewish but believe Christ is the Messiah. Anyway, it was a Passover Seder meal - 4 hours long service with the meal during. Fascinating! But my feet were killing me when I got home at 11 p.m.

Happy Easter and Happy Passover to my Jewish buddies.

Kim Calhoun (Carson)

For those of you that celebrate Easter I hope you all had an enjoyable celebration of the holiday.

Shane, I remember the station, but not your friends. In Mohave days, didn't Kathy Phillips dad own the station on Granite Reef north of Indian School that just reopened recently? I believe it was a Phillips 66 station.

Larry Clauss

Kim, Yes to the Phillips 66 gas station. I think we used to ride our BMX bikes in a field near there (when there were open fields!). I remember Kathy too.

OK, all you guys (and ladies) are too witty for me and I'm tired. Happy bunny day and talk to ya'll later.

Bernina,

My friend, where have you gone....Please don't leave me swimming in the forum with out your beacon.

04/13/09 10:56 AM #722

Doug Holland

Sister Lisa? Joining a convent in LA?
The Phillips 66 was at Chap and Granit Reef and was run by the Phillips (always wondered if they were related to THE Phillips). My mom use to have me ride my bike there to by her cigs for fifty cents from the vending machine in front.

Hey organizing committee, Read Sue Senior's profile about the Saguaro campus renovation. Wonder if they'd do a group tour for us?

04/13/09 12:57 PM #724

Kim Calhoun (Carson)

Hey Mike, Sue is already working on trying to set up some type of tour. I assume she will let us all know the details when she has them.

And Doug, I thought I was the only one who had to buy cigarettes for my mom when I was a kid. I used to get them at Margraf Pharmacy, and I loved the day they told me I was too young to buy them! I hated buying those things!!

No Doug, tried it a fews years back and they kicked me out..feel like I'm a serrogate sister to everyone here though..sister as in a sister, not a SISTER sister.

Mona Stacy

I also sent a message to Sue to see what we can do...once I find out any info...I will pass it on.
So far...we don't have many golfers signing up.
So if your in the forum and want to golf...let me know!

Hey Lisa Cerri,
I've just returned after convalescing from my first foray into a message forum lead by Superior dreamscaping, ADHD, tool-toting, tattooed Sabercats of mind-numbing hyperbole abilities

I had complete faith in your ability to define "rostrum".

04/14/09 12:39 AM #728

Lisa Cerri

mimi & michelle (and all other onlookers too bored with their own lives to have better things to do than wonder) -
For which question are we now seeking an answer ?

?#1)THE ORIGINAL QUESTION: As posed by John Meyers, in I believe post #755.

Jeff,
Was this the same teacher at Saguaro that used to push her rostrom down the 200 building hall?

?#2)What is a rostrom? (-- which, BTW, was very adequately addressed, refer to post #767)

?#3)How is that word really spelled? (see ?# 2)

?#4)Is there actually a teacher that was both, a teacher at Mohave, as refered to in the post prior to John Meyer's by Jeff S., and a teacher who would have possibly pushed said rostrum in the 200 building?

?#5) Where is John Meyers, or who is John Meyers?

?#6) and lastly -- or not-- did he (John Meyers) have a clue as to the nature of what he was asking to begin with??? AND/OR any notion of the firestorm of inquiry that would ensue as a result?

?#7) Fill-in your own blank....?????

just curious lc

p.s.- thanks for the research kudos

Well Lisa cannot answer all the questions but have a possible solution-

there was a teacher who apparently did not have a fixed room to work- who had a rolling lecturn that carried all of her stuff with her. The other profs had fixed desks and she just needed something to be mobile?

In other words she was a road warrior a generation early.

Lisa Cerri

lance --

praytell -- of whom do you speak?
