Lisa Stephens

We all know who the Millionaire, and his wife are :))

Kim Calhoun (Carson)

Shane, Are you saying Lisa would be Ginger? Then I guess that Lisa you are going to have to go back to red hair!

04/30/09 12:02 PM #910

Jeff Spielman

Mi, So sorry. I knew if I left anyone out I would catch hell for it. You are not forgotten. You are an integral part of, not only the Saguaro message board DNA, but also the Mohave matrix. Sorry I can't help you out in the rose dept. I've got an exclusive client for those. The hoola hoop; you can have, with my blessing.

Shane, You most certainly are Gilligan.

I'm really sorry I won't be at the reunion. Especially after catching up here and everybody being so amiable and all. My In-laws are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on the 17th in Missouri.

Lisa Stephens

Kim, I'd rather be Mary Ann,, how about..I'll go brown and Mimi can go red!

Andy, Shane said if he's Guilligan..then you're the "Skipper"!

Robert has to be the "Professor"..with all his inventing..

I say we do a skit :))

Gilligan's Isle Mohave or Gillagin's Isle- Saguaro? I'll start- dont know all the answers and there can be more than one right one

Gilligan- Mohave- Dave Grahmlich ( he wore the hat and ended up in similar perdicaments- Saguaro-Shane-always working an idea-those your's turned out better than Gill's

Ginger- Mohave/Saguaro- Mary Hall (Style- Mary has more intellect) Saguaro- Kim R- same style yes- way to smart like Mary.

Mary Ann- what women do we know who would really like to be like her as seen on that show?

The Skipper- Cayce (remember we are considering inpact not especially gender) other nominations open.

Lovey? Thurston?

The professor-multiple candidates- Keith Blum, Tracy, Hoganson, Comes

Kimberly Rickels

Ahh Lance. Ginger, huh? I'll take it, especially her measurements! As for Lovey and Thurston, I'm thinking Mrs. Baker and JD Morsch or Esile, can't decide which...

04/30/09 07:07 PM #914

Jeff Spielman

I nominate:
Al Norman as Saguaro Ginger.
JD Morsch as Saguaro Skipper.
Deanna Dornan as Gilligan.

Lance - um, I don't know but your going to probably be Cayce's Gilligan after that suggestion.

Cayce - He didn't mean it. Put your hat back on.

04/30/09 10:40 PM #915

Lisa Stephens

Lance..NO YOU DIDN'T!! Cayce as the Skipper?? Just wait until she see's that!!

04/30/09 10:43 PM #916

Lisa Stephens

OK, OK, Mi, I'll be Ginger (but I am (Lance) way more intelligent than that)...Since you already have brown hair Mi..and your name is already Mary..I'll just get a red wig..and let the geese fly at will!

Shane, who's Mia? Or do you mean..."Missing In Action"?
(Dude, see that..I Got It!)

04/30/09 11:17 PM #917

Doug Holland

Mi,
Beep. Beep. Beep. Back-up. I may have laughed at your solution for Global Peace in the Middle East but I did not disagree. I think you should share it and maybe Kenny Chev can forward it to Obama.

04/30/09 11:51 PM #918

Larry Clauss

Ok, let's get real here - Mary Ann was the hot one. Ginger was phony and teased the professor with her sultry songs.

And I nominate myself as the "Head Hunter"!
Pooloo Cee Pagumba ya'all!

05/01/09 01:05 AM #919

Lisa Stephens

If we gender switched..I would nominate Scott Walters as Ginger (he must, of course, dye his hair back to red), and Doug Holland as Mary Ann..brown wig, short shorts..

Cayce Evans (Newton)

THE SKIPPER! Okay, the funny thing is I stole a captain's hat from Mike Rowell - my drama buddy and my Mom still has it in the closet in the kids playroom at her house!

Don't tell Mike, he'll want it back.

But I don't want to be Skipper, he's way to grouchy and bossy. I'm friendly and fun, i want to be Lovey. Although she doesn't have much common sense. I think maybe I'm more Maryann without the hot bod. I can cook, I can sew and I'm sensible.

If I was the Skipper we never would have gotten stranded on that island in the first place!!!!!

05/01/09 02:07 AM #921

Cayce Evans (Newton)

P.S. to Lance - The Skipper..... geez. I'm just kidding - still love Lance, but i'm going to vote him off the island if he ever calls me Skipper to my face.

05/01/09 08:00 AM #922

Lance Cope

The Skipper was actually a good guy- kept everyone together.

05/01/09 10:32 AM #923

Lisa Stephens

Where the heck is Sugar-daddy?!

05/01/09 12:15 PM #924

Jeff Spielman

Lance - I told ya.

05/01/09 12:49 PM #925

Cayce Evans (Newton)

Skipper was a good guy, but he was SO MEAN to Gilligan. I could never be that mean.

05/01/09 12:54 PM #926

Lance Cope

Cayce- don't vote me off the island yet- I actually know how to grow food and thatch a hut..... might be usefull skills

Mimi- After 200 years in the USA and we still do not always get it right- although we are better at it than most.

Iraq is an artificial country created by France and the UK after WWI. a unified and consistent democracy/culture will take years to develop. I don't believe there is any way to jump start it there. Too much to learn through time and experience.

I worked in Hungary after the fall of Communism and Paraguay after the fall of the dictatorship. Hungary had democratic traditions-Paraguay none. In both, eventually a significant sub-group developed who clung to a longing for the good old days when life was predictable, roles were defined and somebody told them what the answers were.

Start with little steps-things people can see, touch and smell.

05/01/09 01:06 PM #928

Andy McClure

Lance is now sounding like the PROFESSOR!!!
He has my vote!!

05/01/09 01:29 PM #929

Lance Cope

Andy- I just reread that last paragraph- sound too much like the theme song to "Cheers"...

05/01/09 02:26 PM #930

Lisa Stephens

Mimi,
share..could make for a good discussion (?)

Lance,
I completely agree with you about how long it will take a country, such as Iraq, to unify, etc.
I don't think much will happen in our generation. Perhaps it will happen in the next generation, IF childern are taught to have respect for human rights, regardless of one's religious affiliation, race, culture, gender, etc...

Currently in Iraq, many women are struggling to survive with little or no access to basic social services..men may still kill and maim women without impunity!

Likewise, the children see this as "normal" behavior, and the cycle continues.

05/01/09 02:43 PM #931

Cayce Evans (Newton)

Lance has my vote for professor. Also, i will keep you on the island with me Lance. Between you and my husband Rick we'll hold it together; we like to call him McGyver - he's smart and handy.

You should go on Survivor!

I tried to get Rick to go on Survivor but he says he can't eat bugs. LOL
