My wife Jenny & I half way up on an all day hike to Mt. Borah peak 2 years ago. Left camp at 4:30am and hiked for two hours in the dark using head-mounted LEDs - got back in the dark as well.

My wife is smiling now because we hadn't yet arrived at 'Chicken Out Ridge'

Our guide showing how relaxed it's possible to be in spite of hugging a 12 inch ledge along a cliff with a 2000 ft. vertical drop (Chicken-Out-Ridge)

That's our goal, the peak of Mt. Borah. At 12,662ft it's the highest in Idaho. The last 800 feet are nearly vertical on loose rock - extremely windy at that altitude as well.

We made it! Though far from the most scenic mountain in Idaho, it's definately the most exciting to climb, and boy what a view. Great trip, great memories, great to be in one piece.

Our first-born and favorite daughter, Caitlyn Elizabeth Kendall (now 21). She is funny, smart, an award winning Lindy Hop dancer, she's beautiful inside and out and a joy to have as a daughter. She is a linguistics major at Boise State and will continue on with her Masters next year.

Three of us getting ready to hike to the top of Shaffer Butte in preparation for 'the big one'
(sadly, my son doesn't like to do a lot of family activities since he became a girl magnet and video geek, but a truly great kid as well)

My two favorite ladies on a train ride to McCall through some truly beautiful idaho country, just an hour north of Boise. The lady on the right is a spy, or maybe just another passenger - not sure.
