In Memory

Wesley Ratzel

Wesley was a captain in the USAF whose plane was shot down over Vietnam in 1972. At the time of our 20th class reunion in 1985, he was still considered to be missing in action.

Wesley's remains were eventually repatriated in 1988 and interred at Arlington National Cemetery. There are some wonderful tributes to him at the following links:

Wesley was one of those guys that everyone liked........always was smiling and had a good sense of humor....a good guy.  On a trip to Scranton in the 70's, I learned that he was killed on a mission in Viet Nam.   Although I served earlier in country in 1969, I think Wes died in 1972.   A true patriot.......he served our country well.
