My dad, Jack Gray, coached the summer baseball team the Sea Cliff Whites from 1956 until the league merged with Glen Head to form a Babe Ruth team in the early 60s.. . I have his scorebook from 1957 and see the names "Vladmiroff," "van Vorst," "Amrhein," "Drott," and other names familiar to the Class of '57.... I wonder if any of those guys remember him? My dad was a pretty closed off guy and his four children didn't know him very well- I mean, we knew his likes and dislikes but knew nothing of what he felt or thought about. Just wondering what other peoples' impressions of him were....
