In late August I went 100 miles up the Oregon coast to visit Ed Gauld (Class of '54) and his wife Kathie while they were at a Gauld family reunion. Many schoolmates and beach visitors probably remember Ed doing the butterfly stroke for hours around the swim area markers at the Sea Cliff Pavilion. When I visited Ed and his daughter Trina had just returned from the local pool where he was again doing the butterfly. 

Ed and Kathie live in Los Angeles.
