I am the fourth generation in the real estate business. I received my real estate license in 1967 and made my first sale in March 1967 to my first client who I am still selling property to and for today. I love this business! I worked in my dad's office until he passed away in 1968 and I took over his real estate office in West Seattle. I opened my first mortgage and escrow company in West Seattle in 1973 and have been in this business every since. In 2004 I moved to Poulsbo since my daughter and her three grils would not move to the Seattle side. I have a small real estate company in Silverdale, Wa and our company specializes in distressed properties. I have been buying and selling properties (foreclosure sales) at the various court houses for over 25 years. I currently have a staff of about 12 people. We follow every foreclosure sale in Kitsap and Pierce Counties. We have three to five people at every Friday foreclosure auction in both Kitsap and Pierce Counties. We find great buys for investors and charge them a fee to buy at the court house. Anyone can do what I do but you have to know what you are doing. Less than one percent of all the real estate agents in this business really know how to follow a property going to sale and then make sure it makes sense to buy it. Regular real estate is great but dealing with foreclosures is really exciting. It is like playing monopoly for real. The best buys are at the auction. I have four full time real estate agents from other companies who buy from me and pay me to find a great deal for them. We sell the property to them and then sell the property for them when they are ready to market in the MLS. We also follow every bank owned property in Kitsap County and Pierce County as they are the next best buys in the market. Banks are not the easist sellers to deal with but if you are patient you can get a great buy.
