I spent the years after high school going to Stanford and the UW, then living at Alki, working in big Seattle ad agencies and having one HECK of a great time! Finally got frustrated with the rain (amazing!) and moved to San Diego in 1994 to be the VP of Marketing for Hang Ten.
Met a Marine Corps test pilot in SD (Glenn Walters) and moved to Washington DC, Jacksonville NC and Cherry Point, NC areas- then back to DC. He became a 4-star General before retiring in 2018 as the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps and is now the President of his Alma Mater, The Citadel in Charleston, SC.. .
I quit working as a Marketing/Advertising/Public Relations exec in 2017 after waay too many years in the rat race. Love living in Charleston and supporting the cadets and school every way I can.
No kids. Just cats, a chocolate lab, skiing, golf, running, hiking, biking, horseback riding, boating...
For those of you who remember my family:
Sister Laurie (1970) married Paul Hagstrom (Shoreline '70) and had 4 kids, lives in Edmonds.
Brother Mike (1976) had 2 kids and lived in Sedro Wooley until his death from esophageal cancer in July 2013..
Mom passed away in 1982 (suicide) and dad in 1993 (early Alzheimers). I have a stepmom, Barb, who lived in the house we grew up in at 156th & 35th until 2019..
Would love to hear from all of you, and am looking forward to anything we might be planning for our 50th reunion!!!
