Janet Douglas Bailey

I attended Clemson for two years after graduation. Then I decided to flip everything around and transferred to Tri County Tech, where I received my Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology in 1983.

That fall I was called for an interview with Duke Power. The interview went well, but the doctors found something during the physical. I was subsequently diagnosed with cancer (Hodgkin's Lymphoma) and underwent treatment for several months.

After completing treatment, I was hired at Duke and have been there since 1985. I really love my job and I am thankful that I was given the opportunity to prove that I could do it.

I met my husband, Steve in 1987 and we were married in 1989. Our first daughter, Shannon was born in 1992 and Megan followed in 1998. We live in West Union and love it.

We worship our Lord at Real Life Fellowship in Walhalla, SC.
