Comments:

Shortly after graduating in 1973, I went to Clemson University and majored in Spanish. I graduated in 1977 and got my first "real" job as a respiratory therapist. That was a disaster! I found out quickly that I was not medical field material. In 1980 I headed to Spartanburg to work for WSPA-TV, the local CBS affiliate. Because I married my college sweetheart in 1981, I decided to move closer to Clemson . . . so I moved to the NBC affiliate WYFF. I stayed there until 1990 or so. On the side I did ventriloquist shows in 5 states. During that time as I was travelling through NC, I decided on a whim to stop by and apply for a full time job as a Spanish teacher. I got the job and taught Spanish until the elementary Spanish program was cut. Then I taught English as a Second Language until I went back to school to study educational administration. Since 2005 I have been an administrator in 2 elementary schools and I love it. As I mentioned, I am married and have NO children but I do have a 160 pound Irish Wolfhound.

School Story:

There are so many funny stories I could tell. For instance, there is Mr. Puckett and that giant class ring he thumped people with . . . or the time I took Mr. Mann and the folks in my driver's ed group down a 4-lane highway the wrong way . . . or dare I mention the time I fell over a box fan in Mrs. Wiggins' class and had my dress blow up around my head? Believe me, folks, there are many more!

Our Irish Wolfhound, Terrwyn, was not too thrilled with either the snow or the photo session.
