Comments:
Moved to Caruthers, CA after high school in 1960. Attended Moler Barber College in '61. Started Barbering in Fresno '62. Purchased barber shop in Caruthers in 1966. Met Barbara Hodge on a blind date. We were married on March 18, 1967- on her birthday. First son, Darrell Scott, was born weighing in at 9lbs2oz on July 31, 1970. Second son, Timothy Lee, came out fighting at 10lbs14oz on June 22, 1974. In 1975 bought a small 20 acre farm outside of Caruthers.
During the boys' growing up coached Little Legue for 5 years, served as commissioner of the league for 2 years, was a sports booster for Caruthers High School.
Scott our oldest son and his wife, Heather, adopted three boys from Russia; William, Brady and Daniel. Scott is a Firefighter for Kings County, Heather teaches kindergarten in Selma, CA.
Tim is employed by Fresno County as a heavy equipment operator. He has son, Michael, daughters Maranda and Tristin.
Retired from barbering after 43 years of cutting hair. Was awarded the Heritage Award for service to Caruthers.
Been happily married to Barbara for 43 years. We enjoy traveling, fishin, camping and golfing.
