Robert S Huling

Bob passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2024. He was born December 27, 1940 in Cleveland.Bob was a 1959 graduate of Shaker Heights High School before serving as a proud member of the United States Air Force for 12 years. He retired from Key Bank Corp. as manager of the field engineering department after many years.He loved working with HO Model Trains. Following retirement, he lived out his dream by building a house in the country and starting a maple syrup sugarbush farm.Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dianne E. (Owen) Huling; children, Pam (Michelle Devecky) Huling, Scott (Paula) Huling, and Debbie (Evan) Ogrodnik; grandchildren, Amanda Mazzola, Allison (Matt) Popp, Rebekah Huling, Sarah Huling, Julia Huling, Eliza Ogrodnik, and Riley Ogrodnik; great-granddaughter, Hadley Mazzola and baby girl Popp; brothers, Richard (Warrenetta) Huling and Charles (Mary Ann) Huling. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families.He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Theodora (Kaufholz) Huling and his daughter, Kimberly Hill.In lieu of flowers, his family suggests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

I remember Bob well, In fact, at our 50th class reunion he came up to me.  I said to him he looked just like he did 50 years ago and that I would recognize him anywhere.  We were in the band together, and I remember him fondly and well.  My condolences go out to his family and friends.  He is Sweet In My Memory.
