Hi Teresa,

Thanks for getting this set up for the Class of 1989. I just attended Michala's 20 year and it got me thinking about ours. I think we need to have a Class of 89 planning party to discuss the details of the upcoming reunion, knowing our class my guess is the turn out would be pretty good. I enjoyed the 10 year and the fact that we had two evenings, maybe a classmates only gathering on Friday and Spouses/Significant Other on Saturday, just a thought. Let me know how I can help.

Sorry it took so long to respond. I kept talking to Kat and she said you wrote a message but I couldnt find it. I decided to get on the web without being the administrator and for some reason this made a difference. Anyway I am absolutely all about getting a reunion planning group together. I am open to almost anything. I tried to respond to your message without reading it by putting it on the announcements. Lets see what we get for a response and start the planning in Sept. It might be you and I but if so we can make it happen. Talk to you soon.

In cases you haven't heard the captain of our 1989 Shakopee high school hockey team, BOB FLOM has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (cancer of the plasma cells, in other words Blood cancer, ewe). He has been in and out of the hospital for a year now and last Monday (Nov.17th) he went in for his schedueled Stem Cell surgery. I created a group page on FaceBook for people to post message, add pictures, share memories and show your support. Some of you are there now (That's Awesome,Thank You) and I just wanted to let everyone know about this page. I'm doing my best to explain what it is he's going threw and keeping it updated, so check it out, go to Facebook.com, sign in and add yourself to the Bob "Live Long" Flom group. It's at about 70+ members and growing, it's pretty sweet. We're both looking forward to next Summer!

Jenni Hanson asked me to make a FaceBook group for our class. It's up with about 15 members so far and I have just spent an hour adding pictures. Anyone can add pictures so please feel free to add anything, comments, pictures, video. Come Join the FB Cult!!

Hello everyone,
I have told some of you about this already, but I thought I would share this on the Forum, maybe a simular situation has happened to you, which would make me feel alot better!?

Getting older is wild. I still play hockey down here in Tulsa, OK on a local beer and pizza mens league. Do to the lack of ice spots available, I was playing against a mens team which was made up of high school players. Couple of months ago, I was called a name after taking a slap shot on goal that missed the net and the steller goaly (just a little rusty). These next remarks maybe surprising to you, maybe/maybe not. I would expect this comment aimed towards my parents- they are the older ones, right?!

Ok, so as I skated away after that blistering slap shot that went far to the right, I was skating down the ice from the opposing net and I hear the powerful words from the defensive player from the other team....

"Hey Nice shot, grey haired, wrinkled ass"

As I was in complete agreement with him on the "nice shot" remark, I was totally confused on the last part. I looked around in complete and utterly confusion to see who this young punk kid was calling grey haired and Wrinkled ass. I knew he wasnt talking to me?... I looked around over my left shoulder and then over my right shoulder and back over my left shoulder again, (Much to my Surprise) no one else was around me.......... except me! I realized this young punk kid was acually talking to me.

Dumb founded, shocked and amazed, I started laughing so hard I had to skate off the ice, I couldnt skate and had to sit down until next shift. Reality hit me, HE WAS TALKING TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This brought back "old" memories, this reminded me of the days in High School when I was that young punk kid who knew it all.....What a trip!!!! I still thought I was 16,17 or even 18, not 38. I had to share that.

Bret - enjoyed your story. At this point in my life I would welcome someone referring to me as "grey haired," where has all my hair gone...probably on 10th Street somewhere. Just remember, "Bald is the new full head of hair." See you at the reunion.

Hi Everyone,
Long time no see. Well, the party at my mom's house is a go.I don't know the time/ plans/ect,ect. I know Teresa has been busy. So if anybody has any ideas please let me know. Do you want volleyball?dodgeball?(to bring back all those phy ed nightmare memories)I hope everyone will feel comfortable at Barb's house. I think it will be bring your own everything maybe even a chair. This is a no frills reunion-no formal dresses please expect if you wear your old prom dress for a few laughs. She has a grill and my mom already started talking about cleaning out the freezer (she has a really old ham in there) so I think a potluck is better for all of us.We could even do pizza for less stress. Otherwise, anything goes. Also, if any one has good speakers with an ipod or some kind of music-even an old boom box with tapes- Barb has only an am alarm clock. Music is always nice-download some AC/dc and Gun's and Roses for me.I will be home the week before so if you want to come out and help or have a refreshment- have at it.If you need any directions her # is 952-445-4359. Address 12611 North Shannon Dr.-- Glen Ellen Park right down the road from the old and new high school.Hope to see everyone there. Rach

Jason (my husband for those of you who don't know him) has a large external hard drive full of just about every album ever made (well maybe not EVERY album..but a lot of them)...I filled an old ipod with songs from the olden days (our childhood) to bring to Rachels. There is everything from Journey, REO and Boston to the Eagles, Steve Miller Band, Tesla, Whitesnake,Metallica, Motley Crue, G&R and Pink Floyd. There's even some Jane's addiction, and the Cure for Adam. The ipod is only 2G but about 400 songs to bring back old memories. Bring a hair brush to sing into!

I wanted to say what an incredible group of people we have in the class of 89. .Glad to see and talk to the people I did get to talk to. it was great! The time flew way, way to fast. Hello to all the people I didn't talk to. For those who I did not get a chance to talk to, guess I have a little bit of an okie accent, so I was told. Thank you to the people who helped make it happen. I had a blast just wish had more time to talk to everyone, got there at 7.30 and was booted out before I knew it. I still can not believe how fast the time went , wow! We had an awesome class of 89. It s great to be part of this class I ll be at the next Event for sure. Incredible time. Everyone take care
