I started a "hobby" about 8 years ago. I do costumes for Theater In the Park in SM Park. Each year I costume a show (last year was 42nd Street). We start working on each show in March and finish in late July. I also costume shows at the Barn in Mission. In my spare (??) time, I am in charge of the Theater In the Park's costume closet which has over 20,000 items in it. I am costuming “High School Musical” this summer at the Park followed by “The Secret Garden” at the Barn in August. Hope some of you will come see them.
Since college, I taught 7th & 8th grade math for 2 years. Then I got a job with Honeywell as a programmer. Worked for them in Minneapolis and Heidelberg, Germany for 15 years. Well, Germany was only for 3 years, but it was a great way to see Europe. My son and I went back to Germany twice. What a way to make history come alive to a teenager!
I have been back in KC for 16 years, working for Black & Veatch. BV sold their IT department to EDS 3 years ago. EDS was bought by HP in October. I still work on the BV account on their accounting systems.
