Mark Williams

I have been in the Army for nearly 20 Years, I joined as 19D cavalry Scout and have seen the far reaches of the world in those 20 years. In 1991 I returned from Desert Storm and started dating Julie Haas (NHS 1991) and we were then engaged to be married while I was living in Sandhoven Germany 1991-1994. We got married at Christmas in 1993 and she relocated with me to Washington state (FT Lewis). We then moved to Fort Riley Kansas then back to wisconsin where I was a recruiter for three years (1999-2001) Once Sept 11 took place I moved to Fort Hood Texas where I served as a Scout Platoon Sergeant in 2-8 Cav. I deployed to Iraq in 2004 and Julie was pregnant with our second child (Mark II). While in Iraq Mark was born and I came home to visit my son for the first time. I came home from deployment and was then sent to Fort Knox kentucky where I was promoted to First Sergeant of 2-81 Armor. While here Julie decided to go back to school again and is almost done with her nursing degree. I deployed again to Korea (2007-2008) where I was a troop First Sergeant in the Cav squadron in Camp casey. I returned to Knox where I currently am slotted as the First Sergeant for HHC BDE. I will be relocating to Fort Benning Georgia in 2011 if I dont retire before then, but I have yet to decide. I decided to retire and now live in Texas. My beautiful wife and family now live in Kempner Texas and have decided to retire here and stay PACKER fans forever!
