Michelle Marinacci,

Are you still collecting photos for the slide show? Is there a limit to the number you would like from everybody? I have a ton of photos (group shots) from pep-rallies, football games, dances, etc (not necessarily with me in all of them) that we used to put in the yearbook...I'd be more than happy to hand them over to you if you wanted to use some...I have picked out some of my favorites, but you are more than welcome to use what I've got...just let me know!!

Dave is an expert of Spankies. (inside joke)

Oh my gosh, I havent thought about Spankies in years! Are the frozen ones something you can order online? Anyone care to package some up and send to Hawaii?? :)

The golf outing plans are coming around but I could use the help...thanks Tracy and Danielle and I know others have volunteered to help. Another decent course that is good for outings is Cracklewood and I know alot of people live in Macomb Twp so that would work out good. Once the date of the party is set we will have the outing the day before. The IKE football alumni golf outing was held at Cracklewood this summer and it was a blast from what I remember!! Kevin Nicholl who is a former IKE grad runs the course so we will get a good rate. On a side note Bob opened his bar and I broke in the karaoke machine with singing The Beastie Boys and Dr. Dre...good times!! Joe

Damn; I hear all this talk about getting together, breaking in bars, drinkin Gooch paid drinks. Can't wait to see you all, might not make it 25th but maybe next month. By time the reunion gets here, no one will want to go except to see the people from out of state. That'll probably be enough time for some people to start to get an attitude with each other if the pre, pre-pre, and in betweens continue at bars. "YOU DIDN'T DRINK AS MUCH AS YOU DO UNTIL YOU STARTED GETTING ON THAT DAMN HIGHSCHOOL WEBSITE!", the spouse said. "THINK ABOUT OUR CHILDREN.."

Hey, I wonder if we started rehab, incarcerated and asylum profile sections if that would take up the "unknowns". No pictures or numbers + not attending reunion = PRISON

Jodi and all,

I can say I am collecting pictures... but only Aaron and yourself have contacted me about it. I am looking for as many as I can get, then I can weed through if I have too many. You can either email then to me or send then via snail mail. I could also make it up to Rite Aide to pick them up. Either way I will return them to you.

Michelle

Thanks Michelle,

You are welcome to everything I've got, some of it is pretty poor quality (they were from pre-35 mm days)...I'll see what I can do convert them over to digital then i'll contact you and make arrangements to get them over to you!! Thanks for doing this...It may take me a couple of weeks but I'll definitely be in touch!!

Dino-I have a pretty nice picture of your truck you painted at graduation (w/your pool in the back!!--remember that??

Jodi, Michelle says she has got the hookup for scanning photos. She's also in between jobs and has tons of time on her hands...jk. I need to get busy on the photo situation myself. Aaron

Damn Aaron is all over this thing. Since you dont answer your phone maybe you can answer through here. Are you going to South Beach with us or not? You need to get your ticket if u are, otherwise u are going to pay a fortune. My brother might be going now as well. The more the merrier in South Beach!!!!

Miller:

Doby can attest to shipping them as he sends them to his brother in Arizona quite often. I think they ship well. I am not sure if they have a website. I will check and get back to you, my husband has thier number on speed dial.

Doby:
How do you ship them to John? Do you send them in dry ice? I would like to help a sister out and send her some Spankies.

Doby:
South Beach...Does Jim know John is going? I think that he would definately be in on seeing him. That just sweetens the deal! If all goes well with the surgeon on Friday, I think I can convince him to go.

Hey- how do you think you are going to get all these people in the Rochester Brewing Company for the reunion?

10/21/08 01:44 PM #339

Sheri Strang

Hey Everyone,

I think there is a misconception about the Rochester Mills Brewery Company. I debated whether to post this or not but after several phone conversations with a few classmates I think we should clear something up.
You DO NOT have to drink to attend. If you are in AA that is respected, if you have medical issues that is respected, if you are pregnant or breast feeding at the time that is fine. We are not in high school and there is not going to be peer pressure. :o)
Heck, if you do not want to drink just because you choose not to that is great. I personally can not drink now for medical reasons. I am still attending.
Everyone is welcome and nobody cares whether you drink, you gained weight, lost your hair, look different, are married or single.
It is all about having fun and seeing old friends and making new friends. We joke around quite a bit on the forum but do not let the comments deter you from attending.
It is a celebration of the "Class of 1989", and I for one want to see everyone there! I think there are others in the group that feel the same way. Do not let bars deter you from getting together. :o) Being divorced is not an issue either, if you read the profiles you will see you are not the only one divorced.

I agree 100% Sherri, just because the gatherings are in a bar atmosphere does not mean you need to consume alcohol. I know that sounds crazy coming from me, but its true. I for one would never make a comment or put someone down because they choose not to drink. I could really care, all I want to see is everyone having a great time and enjoying themselves.
That is what made the class of 89' so unique. We all seemed to get along so well. Didnt matter if you were a burnout, geek, jock, loner, stoner, drunk or whatever it was about all of us being together and having fun. Knowning that we will only have until 12th grade to all be together. Then after that it is 10 years here- 10 years there. Damn I need to get off my soapbox I think I am making myself cry. lol, lmao.

Stacy - Thanks for checking into the shipment. I was half joking but that would be a shipping and handling fee I wouldn't mind paying for. :)

David Dobradenka

Stacy,
In regards to your question about national or international delivery of spankies, that is high classified and very privilaged information. I am shocked and applaud that you would throw my name out there like that. Please have more consideration next time. Do you think I enjoy everyone emailing me and asking about spankies and what the best means of delievery would be!!!
Flash frozen or dry ice works the best. :)

Doby:

WTF!!!
R U 4 Real.
Don't you work? JK, I am on here again too.

all:
I agree with both Doby and Sherry. It is not supposed to be a drunk fest..We all just want to get re-acquainted and have fun. I have lost touch with sooo many close friends that it is sad. I personally can't wait to see all of you. I run into classmates from time to time at Restauraunts or Home Depot. I am always suprised that most people still live in the area. I am also suprised that people I don't even remember say Hi. With a class so large, it is a wonder you can remember half of the people in it. I have been viewing everyones page and get excited when I see someone I don't remember or maybe had in only one class.

I find it truly interesting what a small world we live in and it is cool that a few of our fellow classmates had the forethought of putting this site together in order to keep everyone in touch. I am thankful that we have such an intelligent and diverse group of people in our class. I personally, can't wait for the reunion.

This site brought Doby back into our lives, good or bad thing, I don't know yet. We had not seen or spoken to him in almost five years. It wasn't until this site popped up that he called and said Hi again.

Hey Class of 1989!!!

I hope you all are reading these forum messages!!! Everybody just wants to get together and have a great time. No passing judgment, peer pressure or anything negative.
It is all positive and about everyone having a great time and being accepted for who they are and who they have become.
We have all changed and that is part of life. I for one am thrilled 80's hair is no longer in style. That was a great change for the better. Thanks to everyone else for also posting that they agree. I hope this changes some minds about attending! We were all EAGLES and will always be THE CLASS OF 1989.

To all, I will be getting drunk at the reunion

10/21/08 04:14 PM #346

Lynnette Frantz (Short)

Meaning-how are we going to so many people in that place. I didn't think it would be big enough to have the reunion there.

Sheri Strang

Ken and the group,

Drinkers are welcome as well!! Sorry if I excluded that option. Everyone just needs to do what makes them feel comfortable. :o)

10/21/08 04:35 PM #348

David Dobradenka

Kenny, too funny. How did I know that you would be the first to respond!!! lol.
Dont worry I too enjoy an occasional drink and I will share one with you my friend if you dont mind.

When is the party do we have a date yet? If we do the golf outing is the day before. If you could email me your foursomes that would be a great start. If you are playing by yourself we will match you up. If you are playing with one other person we will match you up with 2 other people.

Thanks,

Joe

I think I found my calling in life...finally!!
