The capacity at Rochester Mills is 450. We had checked with reunion planning people, who estimate that 25% to 45% attendance for a 20yr is considered good to excellent. That would put our number (with some spouses) at approx 275 to 400. I personally would love to see that many attend. The mills is a totally laid back bistro-bar, and we are starting early enough on Saturday night where it will feel more like a restaurant than a bar. We respect that some people will not want to drink, and will hope that other alums will too. The food is good there, and we think will work well with this crowd. If anyone wants to email me or call me to discuss, my number is 313-682-4827. We will post some other info later on as we get more.

I am looking forward to the food myself,I love hobs. I also think either Stacy or Dob should use my Acct# 2345V for some late night spankies to be supplied at the end of the night of reunion. Or joe can set them up for the turn of golf outing since I am sure a lot of adult beverages will be consumed.

Dino - Did you drink at my shed party?

10/21/08 06:50 PM #355

Sheri Strang

Aaron that is so sweet of you to buy spankies for the entire graduating class. :o)
You better get a few extra accounts at your business as there is going to be some hungry alumni when they hear you are paying. HA HA

I will be drinking also. I will arrive in a cab or some other means of "ME" not driving. I will drink and so will Doby. He does not drink occasionally and neither do I. We are professionals and will buy other people lots of drinks. We love to do this, this is the kind of party we wait for. We'll try and be pleasant, chances are we'll BYO with expensive stuff "occasionally" leaving the scene to refill. I'll have a setup for after the "show"(referring to Doby possibly pulling out his penis), to crash out and have jacuzzi time until passout. We will be wasted...due to a double header starting at the golf outing the day prior. Please don't call the fuzz, just love us and whomever is too wasted back to the hotel. Remember the hotel floor is better than any cot in jail. Aaron, Dave and the rest of you who know who you are.

Since I must remain sober, I will be more than happy to capture the special reunion moments on digital. :) This way Aaron and Dave you will be able to see what you missed later on or in some cases see what you did. :o)
If you don't mind a one eyed driver with a leg brace I could drive you. Actually, the state won't let me drive so that may not be a good idea. Let's face it we are ALL going to have a GREAT TIME no matter what choices we make!

Doby, I'd love for you to join me in a drink. Eddie, sure you can have some drinks on me no prob. I just hope I survive the golf outing and party the day before.

Golf Tourament, sounds fantastic. Youngblood you're in charge, let me know if I can help. My company will sponsor a hole, or donate drivers, wedges, putters, golf bags ect... for long drive, closest to the pin, driving accuracy. Another idea let's get as many sponsors, half the money goes to the Golf Tournament, we can create a foundation (In Memory) which will recieve half the proceeds from the Tourament. First annual Golf Tourament, great excuse to meet up once a year, also a good cause.

Joe, glad you found your purpose, you know where me and the gals need to be for the golf outing(cart driver)if you need help organizing just let me know, chris has expeience in this department, she has organized a few. Hey how was the bar sat?

Doug,

Great idea!! We should have this outing every year since the 10 year party was one of the funnest night's of my life...just ahead of my wedding night!! Great way for everyone to get together once a year for the rest of our lives. We had such a great class and we are all good friends one way or another so we should all stay in touch. For the non golfers we will have a dinner and drinks (NA for Kenny McLain...when Ken starts doing shots of Canadian Club we may get thrown out of Cracklewwod for good... Last year at Hamlin Pub Ken got into a bottle of CC and was swinging from a chandelier and the rest of the story isn't good) after golf every year and they could attend that. Joe

Dawn,

You and Chris and I know a few others have volunteered to operate the shot carts so that would be perfect. Jello shots on July 31 always taste good. Bob's bar was a blast Saturday...look forward to alot of fun up there. Joe

I think Richardson is on to something with an annual golf outing. I'd travel back for that plus what a great way to keep in touch with everybody you may not see and to make it for a good cause would be great. Maybe I can help out and call my old buddies at Partridge Creek . . . oh wait, they bulldozed that and put up a mall. All my hard work gone to waste.

Does the reunion have the whole Rochester Mill rented out?

10/21/08 10:08 PM #365

Douglas Richardson

Golf Tournament, it would be nice to get confirmation how many teams will be playing. It's right around the corner. We need to get the course, figure how much per person, including food, beverages ect.... We a;ready have volunteers for cart girls thankyou Dawn. Lot's of planning, Joe figure out who's on the Committee, then start delegating.

Doug,

I will contact the course, get the price and reserve the course etc. You will be the sponsor and gift/raffle coordinator if you can. Thanks Joe

Sheri Strang

Joe,

Can the non golfers take over the clubhouse or drive out refreshments to the golfers?

10/21/08 10:49 PM #368

Joe Youngblood

Sheri,

Non golfers can definitely take over the clubhouse or we can set up different holes where non golfers could pass out shots or selling 50/50 or vegas holes and that way you would see every group at your hole. Joe

Tracy-We have half of the seating reserved, plus the back area, martini lounge, etc. for IKE 89. We will be taking over the majority of the restaurant, plus the pool table area.

Joe,

Sorry I didn't make it to the bar. I was up at 4am Friday and in bed at 6am Saturday. I keep telling myself I'm to old for that kind of behavior but I don't seem to listen. I am in for golf and I'm almost sure we could get a few more. I can help out with some of the planning if you need me. I have put an outing on for the last 10yrs or so. Just let me know.

Tony
