To all attending Sat,

I can take your pictures with me and return them to you within a fews days if you would like. Please let me know who is in the picture and a brief synopsis of what is going on in the picture (that way there are no assumptions).

Can't wait to see you there.

Joe,
First, whats the name of your brothers bar? My dad is asking as he wants to donate some money. lol. I will make sure I am included and of course let you know when my dad and I are going up!!! Maybe you can join us.

Second, I already have my team for golf so put me down. If you need any help with anything let me know. Even if it is to come over to your house and drink beer and discuss what needs to be done and who we will have do it. he-he peace!

Joe,

Count Jim and I in for a Hole Sponsor, we can sit at the hole and watch it as well. Jim can't golf well anymore after his surgery on his wrist and all the hardware associated with it, atleast this way he can have some fun.

Just curious how everyone's fairing due to the economy. I hate that my house is worth a fraction of what we bought it for but my husband's in the automotive industry and I'm just glad he still has employment.

Holly,

Good to see you are in the forum. I was going to call you today. :o)
Tell Tom he can not quit his job as you ARE NOT leaving Michigan. I will not allow it! lol
Howell is as far as you go! I am sure the housing values will turn around in the future. We are just at a bad place in time right now. It is a buyers market but not a sellers market. Alan and I went house shopping the other day and you are right housing is DOWN.

I'm glad to see the reunion planned for a modest location. I think that if a more expensive venue were chosen it would have taken away the chance for many people to attend. My husband's reunion just charged $70 per person and their attendence was way down from previous reunions. These are tough times for a lot of families.

Joe, I'm all in for helping for golf. 50/50, shots, whatever you need. I suck at golf but love the course! Let me know what you need me to do. :)

Holly, I got super lucky. Just bought a condo at 14 & Hoover and the lady I bought it from lost $49K on the deal. She only owned it for 3 years. Totally sucked for her but the place was vacant and she needed to unload it. And I was sooo in need of a deal!

Joe,

I haven't golfed since college. But I did golf back then pretty much every day the weather would allow. I would be more than happy to sponsor a hole too. I would rather visit than golf. Please let me know what you need.

Glad to see more and more people posting.
Stacy as far as Jims injury tell him to stop touching himself so much and then injury will naturally heal. lol.

Cant wait to see everyone Saturday at Gus O Conners. Seems we will have around 60-65 people, well at least that is the amount of people that sent confirmations. You know how it always goes though, some show and others dont. Any way you look at it, it will be great to see whoever shows up.

Does anyone remember this song:

SSS-AAA-FFF-TTT-EEE-YYY
We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to
A place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance

Totally 80's

Oh yes, just incase some of the newbie's didnt catch the announcement on here or on the wonderful home page. We are having a pre-pre reunion party this Saturday 25-Oct-08 around 7pm at Gus O Conners in Rochester. Spouses/ partners are invited so pleased come. Stacy and I will bring name tag stickers, so dont worry we will all be identified.
We can start there and see where the night takes us. As you might know the Mills is right around the corner, so if you want we can head there and see where our awesome reunion is going to be. I think that the team did a great job on picking the Mills. It has a great decor, the drinks are good, the wait staff is excellent and the food is fantastic. Also, I believe that by doing this we can keep the price down, as Holly mentioned, so that more people are willing and can attend. Good call our elected officals. You finally did something right. Just kidding.
Last I wanted to say that everyone I talk too that has had or is having there reunion is so jealous of this website. I personally wanted to thank all of you involved, what innovaters!!

Dave, talking about Jimbos wrist injury and thinking about his back injury..... Man I could never knockem' out that hard. lol

Joe, Aaron here. I'll be in for golf. Mostly in and around the beer bit.... TEX

Holly, the housing market is nasty over in Wisconsin as well. All these practical homes fixed up nice trying to go for resort prices...What a joke. Makes me laugh when I look at fair, add some figures and see just how stupid buyers and lenders have been. I think I'll be the first in developing a "Project" in this small Wisconsin area. "Trucks circling the parking lot, windows down, systems up, screamin they just don't know what's up." Low income housing, that might be the future for some of our kids. Not my son, I think he's planning to live with Mom and I forever...

Where is Steve Green & Chris Zuccaro? I saw Chris a few years back when he bought tile from my dads store. Does he still teach music for UCS?

Doby-Thanks for the massive props for our efforts. How much do we owe you?(jk)We worked hard to get the ticket price down, most traditional venues were too expensive. We picked Mills for the fact that it is more like a restaurant, and they could accomodate 400 people (we might get there). We also feel that the food is outstanding, and the venue is laid back and fun. As far as the website, we owe Jen Iras a HUGE thank you for finding this site. We are just thrilled to have the folks at Class Creator to back us up, cuz my technical skills are not what they used to be. Thanks for your support.

Tamara-Wilkie and I are trying to get those guys on board as we speak. Zuccaro is teaching in UCS, and Green is working downtown for the Govt. I'll let them know you are looking for them. Thanks

I think Steve Green lives in Hartland. I saw him in Brighton a few years ago. I also ran into Marty Lapa so I'm pretty sure he lives out my way too.

Kathy,
Glad to hear you've grabbed yourself a new place at a great price. At one point we were going to move for Tom's job and our appraisal on our place came back at over 100k less than we paid for it. Since we have so much extra $ laying around it was no big deal. jk Long story short he was able to find another position and all is well but there have been 7 foreclosures in my sub so there won't be any increase in value for sometime.

Last I heard Marty Lapa lived in Fenton with his wife ( a school teacher) and his two sons. He in an ob-gyn in Grand Blanc.

Aaron~I am not sure who would be able to keep up with your drinking. I am not sure what the requirements are of " A " PROFESSIONAL DRINKER." HA HA I will capture it on digital for eternity for you though. :o)

Glad to see more people posting and not just reading!!!

Way to go WEBSITE GURU'S and 1989 Party Planners!!!

Fantastic decision on everything! I think you are all going to need a vacation afterwards. :o)

If we could all take everything we lost in the stock market we could have a reunion in Hawaii. Debbie Miller would like that arrangement. Hear is to hoping the economy turns around. :o)

It is so funny to read everyone's thoughts about when their kids become teenagers, having a 16 and 20 year old myself. We, as parents, are much luckier than our parents were. In fact, just now, I was able to track my 16 year old using the GPS on his phone - and he has no idea that even though I'm at work I can check that he is not at home doing homework like he says, but at his friends house. But, you learn to save up that kind of info for something bigger and better. I also get to have constant contact with teachers through email, which many of us are probably very happy we didn't have to worry about! Still, with the computer games, myspace, xbox 360, playstation, etc., we don't have to worry near as much where they are because they are glued to a TV or computer somewhere. Also, no matter how nice we are to our teenagers it doesn't help because they just don't appreciate it until they move out when they are again able to tell their mother they love her which she hasn't heard from them since age 6! I am so thankful that, much like the childbirth experience, I get to experience the teenager stage again about the time I will have forgotten the pain and stress of these years!! Does anyone want to borrow a teenager for practice? lol

10/23/08 07:05 PM #398

Aaron Polchowski (Tex)

Borrow a teenager for practice? I was joking and kidding around with my wife and son the other day, they didn't care for my humor and I said, "My family is no fun." Off to the side I heard my son say, "You made it that way." Damn.....

Dave, Aaron here. I don't think I can go to South Beach with you...My wife is not happy about it, I asked her nicely several times but it didn't sway her decision.......................................................................Could you imagine? My plane lands 5:19pm. Call that Tim dude and set up our ride, make sure he's good til Monday morning though. We'll kick him sum ducketts. Next trip will be Loretta Langs joint.

Hello everyone,

Even though I have not posted any comments, I do enjoy reading the forum. It is part of my morning ritual. I get home from work @ 5am. I will be at O'Connors on Saturday after a certain football game. Go Blue!
