Hello everyone! I also must say that although I have not posted any comments to the forum that I have really enjoyed reading everytyhing that is posted...my husband always says "let me guess what you are reading"...too funny!

Unfortunately, my husband and I will not be able to attend tomorrow so have a drink (or 2 or 3!) for me!

I live about 3 1/2 hours north up by Cadillac, so, if anyone wants to ski, etc. during the winter let me know, we are always up for company, making new friends and re-kindling old friendships... AND we have some really great "hick bars" up here...jk..lol

Glad I have everyone singing the song. I heard it on the radio the other day and it did the same thing to me.

Aaron, good one your fkr. I thought you were serious about your wife. lol. Yeah right!!!

Any way, one more day until party time. That doesnt mean you need to drink, but you do need to show up.

Scott, I have to say f the BLUE!!! Sparty on brother. If Blue wins I will buy you a beer if Spartans win you buy me one. Kewl!! I know you dont get home until 5 am, so when you get to Gus's just buy me a beer. lol.

Dino, question on the website. Can we get an common area we can post pictures? We can use this area for pictures of Gus's, Hamlin, Golf outing and of course the Reunion. Let me/ us know. Shit, there probably already is an area, the problem is I only go to messages and forum. Sad I know. :(

Dawn,

Where are you?

You don't answer my emails, you don't return my phone calls, you aren't on here anymore...did we break up?

I have to go stick my head in the oven now.

Just wondering if anyone out there has any "connections" that could get me a good price on replacing the broken spring on my garage door (in Macomb Twp). Any help would be awesome!

Looks like we need a "discussion" style forum with separate threads/posts. It's already getting crowded in here with different subjects (not to mention we have 350+ still yet to join).

My nieces were over here and they decided they wanted to be girls from the 80's for Halloween. They had lots of questions for their research.
Aunt Sheri's list of questions.
"What was it like way back then ?" WHAT?? Way back then??
"Why is everyone's hair so big?" Still can't find a logical answer for that one.
"What is a banana clip?
"What are parachute pants and why were they called that?
" What is a mullet?"
MY FAVORITE " What is a boom box?"

Anybody having flashbacks? I remember the shirt from " Frankie goes to Hollywood," RELAX!!! Yes, now that song will go through your head.
They also have to put together a short report about their costumes and the culture. ARE WE THAT OLD to be oldies??

For the website, great suggestions. I will look into the separate thread postings idea, as well as a common area for posting photos. Not sure how sophisticated Class Creator was in making the HTML, but I will look into it. Thanks

Right, If I've got something to say to you, I'll send it to your profile. If I've got something to say to the group as a whole, then I'll forum it. That'll keep the forum less bogged, especially thinking of the potential. Sure its fun to read other peoples shit because were all friends and it gives us ideas and makes us smile, but I think Jeff is right... Dave, Stacy, you guys need to get a job.

Julie,

No "connections" so to speak, but you could try Almont Door. Located in Almont of course.

Aaron go away already

Julie,
Fixing springs on garage doors is so costly. When I still had my self storage company it just used to really piss me off. I used to buy springs from a company in Georgia and change them myself. (And by myself means...I made my husband do it.). One thing I did learn though is that even if both springs look good you have to change them both.

Murphy,
I don't know how to tell you this..........but Dawn is with me now!!!!! Just kidding she still loves you I am sure. After all, you are Myrtle the Turtle.

Stacey,
Are you sure you want to sponsor a "hole" it sounds like you already are..... every Saturday (Doby). Just kidding I still have anger issues that my orthodontist was Kobalarz. I always wanted Doby's dad to be mine because Kobalarz's hands always smelled like (and tasted like !!!!) oranges.

Meg-
In the calls that I've made everyone has told me that both springs should be replaced, and the price between just one and both is small in comparison. My husband tries really hard to be handy, but I wouldn't have him even try it after I heard that one of the maintenance guys with the apartments where I work snapped his arm trying to install some himself! Since my husband needs his arms to drive for work (UPS), it would be way to costly if that happened to him! I have had a couple people reply to me with some "hook-ups" and I have one that can do it for $140 (thanks Geoff Schmueser!) which is great considering I was getting quotes from $160 - $225.

Julie,

You are so sweet. I would have broke my husbands arm if he didn't fix them!!!!!!!!!! Actually my husband had one of his guys do it. But we had so many doors we made a thing that held the door up so you could work with your hands free. But for $140.00 and just one door....that sounds like a good deal.

Julie Baker (Saputo)

Meg-

I am more concerned that my husband would not be able to work - he makes way too much to be off for something like that!! It still amazes me what they pay the guy for driving around and delivering boxes to people all day! Even though they expect a much slower holiday season this year with the economy the way it is people aren't shopping online as much, or I guess shopping period. Oh, by the way, my son goes to Dr. Kobylarz for his braces and says that his hands do not smell like oranges anymore.

Julie:

That is a good deal. Two weeks ago I paid $225.00.

Hello all- I'm a virgin message forum newbie. Just curious, aside from the golf outing, has anyone mentioned or is anyone interested in a "family" picnic of sorts close to the reunion weekend? We only get to Michigan once a year...wish I could be joining y'all this weekend.

Goooooooooooooo Spartans!

*pretty funny, even way out in Seattle some Wolverine had the audacity to change my husbands MSU License plate bracket for an ugly maze and blue one! Terrible.

Oh, and speaking of songs in your head. I recently caught my daughters chanting around the house "who let the dogs out"......and barking! It's all coming back again.

Sheri Strang

Hey Chrissy,

Welcome aboard the forum! The picnic sounds like a great idea. Why not have a 3 day reunion! :o)
It will be good to see you.
Thanks I have the "Dog Song" going through my head now. Ha Ha
I am still recovering from my nieces dressing like the oldies 80's style.
