My 5 year old woke up this morning singing the MSU fight song...music to my ears!!

Chrissy, a picnic sounds like fun, others have mentioned it too...if you guys get something together we can post it on the site along with all the other events...

Go State!!

Jodi- where would a good picnic place be? Is Stoney Creek still in the picture? I haven't been there in so long I have no idea.

If the reunion is Saturday night, how about a casual get together on Friday for those who are around and possibly only in town for that 1 weekend? Little icebreaker over some drinks at a local pub? Then the golf outing Saturday and/or possible picnic mid-day? Oh gosh, the party planning/control issues are starting to kick in..

Jodi Palm (Merrifield)

Chrissy--you're too funny...it's too bad you live so far away!! The reunion is on Saturday, August 1st...Joe Youngblood is putting together a golf outing which I am assuming would be Friday sometime or Saturday morning...

Stony is still be the best place for a picnic I would think...unless somebody else has any other ideas???

Chrissy,

Stoney is a good idea. If the golf outing is on a Friday or early Saturday, then you could do a picnic on Sunday after the Rochester Mill.
It would be neat to see everyone's children as well. I have heard that several people ARE TAKING their kids to Stoney to show the old stomping grounds. The only problem would be if weather does not permit. You definitely would then need a plan B.
Yes, Chrissy you are the party planner so start thinking! :o)
I do not know if you were intending for families or just (classmates/significant others) for the picnic. I am going to be jealous, I may have to borrow one of your children. HA HA
It's a bummer you do not live closer anymore.:o(

Only issue with a Sunday picnic, is 2 days of drinking may require Sunday to be a recovery day

Ken,

Are you thinking of a Friday picnic? I am not sure when the golf outing is scheduled yet.
It could be relaxing hanging out by the beach and relaxing on a Sunday. You could recover there. :o)

I'm addicted to this now. I was thinking a Saturday early mid-day picnic....singles, families, whatever. Meet up at Stoney weather permiting. Just for a couple hours before those of us with kids ditch them with their babysitters and join up again for some more serious socializing. (12- 2?) Personally, I would love to meet up on a more casual basis before all the primping for the big dig.

Jodi- I'm excited to meet your boys!
Ken- are you thinking Oakhurst for golf? If that's the case, perhaps I can talk my father in-law into hosting a social hour at his place? He lives off the 9th hole...

I think that a Saturday early afternoon picnic would be great. We may all get sick of one another by time Saturday night rolls around, but with all the pre reunion parties, that could happen by the first of the year!

Dawn, glad to hear that you are alive! I can't wait to get back to all those sleepless nights again.

I think the day of the park/picnic get together all depends on the day of the golf outing. Joe Youngblood is setting that up and that was discussed before the picnic idea came into fruition.
Once we know that date as well it will be easier to plan. I hope they are having a great time tonight at the PRE-PRE Reunion! I would have loved to have gone but medical just did not permit it at this time. Cheers everyone!
HUGE EYE OPENER~~~~ With just the people now signed up there are 357 CHILDREN!!!! (Wanted basic numbers for planning)
If we do the family get together there will need to be LOTS OF PLANNING! We still have not heard from 300 some classmates... 357 does not include parents just kids.

As the kids say... "OMG". I had a great time last night. I have a boat load of pictures which I will send to Dino for his "Administration" to the site.

Kevin, Thanks for the great time. Your place is great - I'm only sorry I just discovered it last night. I will be passing the word around quickly. Please thank you staff for putting up with us... especially a chosen few.

Dino and Danielle, thank you for putting this all together. Without your initial idea, this chaos would not have begun. I love it. I am pleased to be able to contribute to the cause with pictures to go with the new memories.

It was so nice to see all of you again. I can't wait to do it again in a month!

PS. Lisa, Heather, Holly and I do a "Ladies Night" in Romeo for opening weekend (Nov 14) - Dipo is joining us this year. Any of you "Ladies" that would like to join us for dinner, drinks and Romeo shopping are welcome to join. - just let me know.

Michelle-I am glad you had a great time last night, and I am sure Danielle and I won't mind taking credit for it, of course. If you had a bad time last night, then it was Stacy and Doby's idea all along, and we had nothing to do with it. Ha
Great to see everyone last night. I am so glad the internet does not allow any yelling or loud voices, because ALL OF DOBY'S MESSAGES WOULD LOOK LIKE THIS!!! (AND THEN THERE WOULD BE A LOUD WHISTLE THAT FOLLOWS)!
jk-that shit was priceless. you rock dude.

Hey Doby... How are you feeling this morning???

10/26/08 12:24 PM #443

Dino Zoyes

Scott-no worries, though i think you can pull off the 10 year bit better than me. I have gray facial hair, and that's usually a dead giveaway for someone reaching 40. Ha!

I had a GREAT time last night. Everyone looks great! I haven't laughed that much in years! It was nice to see people and get reacquainted. I'm looking forward to the next time that's forsure. I can't wait to see the pictures! I did get a bit of a medical check up last night - y'all will have to ask Doby how my tonsils checked out! OMG! The guy was off the hook! I can't stop giggling!

Michelle - when the heck did girls night start including shopping? Opening day means strippers and booze! :)

10/26/08 12:42 PM #445

Michelle Marinacci

Katherine _ this is the new and improved version. Last year we drank, ate, shopped (which is a Lisa and Hez thing) - plus I got a 5 minute back massage, 15 minute foot massage, and a 20 minute hand paraffin/hand massage. Don't forget no husbands and lots for laughs!!!

I'll be your DD anytime. I gotta take care of my Bitches!

I hope that all that attended the pre pre reunion party had a great time and the hang-overs are not too bad. I wish I could have been there, but I plan on the next pre reunion next month.
