Sheri Strang Aaron that is what I meant. To reap the rewards of the results of our votes. There is one thing I am very happy about and that is that the stem cell research passed. :o) I think there are going to be some wonderful advances in the upcoming years.

Aaron Polchowski (Tex) Stem cell research, does that mean I'll be able to clone some women of my choice and it'll be legal to raise them as my property and do with them what I will? I'm kinda confused, what is it again?

Hi everyone!

As a Republican American I am disappointed in all of the Obama Bashing. We are supposed to get behind our new President whether we like him or not. We as Americans have always done so. The Peanut Gallery should start thinking of ways to help make this change a positive one. Bitching about something we cannot change will not help anyone.

I was proud of how the country reacted to this presidential election. It was an inspiration to see that we can all get along and prove to the world that we are still the most powerful country. My son was born 8 years ago on election day(Jim wanted to name our son G Dub). If you remember, we did not know who the president was for a long time. I am glad that it was short and without hanging chads and Floridian F... Ups.

Alright, I am done with my soap box.

Jim had his back surgery today. He is doing okay. He may come home by Saturday. The doctor said that the surgery was a complete success and that he should make a full recovery after therapy. So, yes, that puts him down for the count for 12 (TWELVE) weeks.

Keep him in your thoughts and prayers please.

I hope Jim's recovery goes well, we'll keep him in our prayers.

As far as the election goes Obama is in for a huge job. Nothing would make me happier than for him to have great success. I am a republican though and the thought of helping those who think they are intitled to things because they exist and want to take little initiative makes me sick. We are American's and America is based on working hard to reap rewards. Many not all but many of those who lost their homes over bought, choose adjustable mortgages and put themselves in their positions. No one is letting me remortgage my home for paying on time. No bonus' for the person who didn't screw up! I get that these are tough times but people are greedy. If you can't afford a car don't have 2. Live on what you make. Cash not credit. Stop expecting bailouts and handouts. Get a second job. I can go on and on. I have compassion for those who get a bad hand but if you dealt it to yourself clean up your own mess.

Jodi Palm (Merrifield) Cheers to you Holly...I agree with you whole heartedly and as of November 4th 2008, I will NEVER watch another Oprah show again!! She almost made me puke!!! I think she ticked me off more than Obama being elected!!

Sheri Strang Wow Jodi, I missed Oprah and I guess it was a good thing. What happened on the show? Anybody out there want to run for office in the next election? I promise I will not write a tell all book about anything in high school. :)

Jodi Palm (Merrifield) I actually didn't watch her show, I just didn't appreciate how she acted on election day and before the victory rally in Chicago...it was enough for me to JUST SAY NO!! Just can't find the words to explain it I guess...
