This started as a girls night for xmas cocktails, then we added spouses and now it's turned into spouses and significant others along with people that went to Romeo (88 and 89), friends, coworkers, family and a hair dresser! I have no idea how many people as there are a lot of hands in the pot BUT if you can get out come for a holiday mingle and join us! Laughs are guaranteed! Kath

12/05/08 02:16 PM #780     Michelle Marinacci Hello Gang, I had the most surreal experience today... I went to Ike for work and had a chance to walk around. Very wierd feeling - definately has the same smell!!! Mrs Thompson in the office is still there - Jason Wilkenson she says hello. "Something" was going on there while I was there and they wouldn't let me tour the whole school. I was shocked to see a man at the front door who won't let anyone pass with out a visitors pass and an escort!!!! I was ready to get frisked!!! A lot has change there, so I'm hoping to make an appointment, you heard it an appointment, to tour the school after hours and take some pictures for all of you to see the changes.

12/06/08 02:20 PM #787     Sheri Strang Hey Everyone, I am doing great and am a one finger typist. This is pathetic typing, but sent with love! Yep, I have the laptop. I still can't feel the left side, but that is to be expected for about a week. I am at home and doing just fine. My left eye even opened!!!!!!!!!!!! After 5 years that alone is a celebration!!! Can't see anything but color blobs but at least I do not have to hold it open with my hand. It blinks and everything! I can not wait to see what my leg can do in about a week. You are all great and I appreciated all the thoughts and prayers. I am fine, so you can now send your prayers to another person that needs them :O) Hugs and Love~Sheri

I have had a constant wink for so long it is surreal! :o) Now, I can wink only if I want to. ha ha ;o) The left eye is still closing a bit, but huge progress. Yes, I also do sound like a guy. Hmm...I could get away with some prank calls right now. :o0 (just kidding) Seriously, it is just a temporary paralyzed vocal cord. My head is already straighter so it is so worth it. My next procedure is March 4th so we are right on schedule! Now in a week I need to kick butt with P.T. and really get things rolling. Big KISSES back at ya all!!!! It is so great being in touch with old friends and even making new friends. THANK YOU REUNION COMMITTEE!!!!! :o)

12/08/08 11:27 AM #797     Sheri Strang Hi Everyone, (Sorry to take up so much space, it is just easier to post the whole group.) I am doing great!!! I am even typing with both hands again! Yep, way ahead of schedule! My adhesions are breaking apart naturally now as well, so that is amazing! I can not thank everyone enough for all of the phone calls, forum shout outs, profile emails and private emails. We truly have an exceptionally special class!!! :o) We bought a NU-Step machine (stair climber you sit down and use and works legs and arms) after the accident 5 years ago, so I will start to use that again later today. My PT right now is using that and working on basic mechanics of stepping forward with my Dad. I have been in PT for 5 years so I know the drill. :o) I had a structured out patient program for 4 years and an at home program for a year. Oh, my head is almost perfectly straight and I can lift the left arm almost straight up right now. YEEE HAW!! Eyes are both open as well and I can still smile! So that is fantastic. Next will be to get rid of the jaw appliance in time and get rid of my HKAFO extended hip leg immobilizer. Right now, I will happily settle for just getting out of this dumb chair and using a walker. I can and will do it!!! THANK YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN FOR ALL OF THE WELL WISHES! I AM DOING GREAT!!! :o) Hugs and LOVE~ Sheri (I can't wait to hug you all in person)
