Do we have to go thru Indiana to get to Wisconsin? We can pick Jimmy up on the way! I'll see if I can rent an old red escort and bring back some memories!

And don't you worry Timmy - I'll be over to the "house of wine" to get you! A road trip wouldn't be nearly as much fun without you. Hopefully you will be able to deal with the Italian Express.

OMG! Another memory just came to mind: drivers training - Mr. Mumby was the classroom teacher. Shelley Kinzer (she graduated in 88) and I were driving around the parking lot with me behind the wheel practicing parking and hitting the cones (I was the pylon princess). Windows are down, radio is on low cuz Mr. Mumby would have had a stroke if he heard it - and here comes Jimmy (can't remember who was with you but you were in the passenger seat) and he throws slimey gummy worms at me - they hit me in the head! With my big @ss hair you know how that turned out! I was soo worried about getting those sticky gummy worms that Jimmy slobbered all over out of my hair I drove over one of those island things that were in the parking lot. Mr. Mumby dismissed Shelley and I for the rest of that class and the next day I had to go see Mrs. Brooks. I almost got thrown out of drivers training because of that! HA! GREAT MEMORY! I can't remember anything about the road practices except that the crazy chemistry teacher (his name escapes me right now)made me soo nervous that I ran a red light. Had to pull over and my turn was over!

Who remembers "The Rink" from our grade school/junior high days? My sons' school has a skating party tonight and my husband and I have been nostalgic all week. We are hoping for some REO Speedwagon and Foreigner to play while the disco ball is twirling around. Our kids think we are crazy! Just had to share with a group that I knew would appreciate "The good old days!"

OMG... I remember "The Rink". Good times. I havent thought of that place in forever. I cannot believe its still open. Good to know some of our old times are still up and kickin.

I remember the Rink too! Of ocurse, I was the one who stood next to the wall the whole time because I never could skate. I can't believe its still open.

Josephine (Jo-El) Russo (Grace)

I TOTALLY remember "The Rink". If I listen carefully, I can still hear "Call Me" by Blondie. Those were the days!!!!

I broke my wrist at The Rink. A bunch of people that I worked with at the Lakeside movie theater had all gone skating one night and this guy tripped me as he skated by me.

Ah the Rink!!! It's now has laser tag, whirly ball and an in-line skating arena. My step kids skate there for roller hockey. Not much else has changed. It still looks the same - they even have the same skates we used as kids. My kids wanted to go skating there after a game, so I decided to try - but used the old fashioned skates. When I fell on my butt, my step-son says, "I think you're too old to learn how to skate. Before you hurt yourself or someone else, let's get you off the rink." Now when they want to skate, I watch and make song suggestions from the "old" days. The kids start to ignore me when I start singing! Embarrassing the kids is the best part of motherhood!!!

We don't listen to much music but when we do its usually 80's stuff. Our son has come to appreciate good music. I'll hear him singing AC/DC, air supply or even Pink Floyd. He likes when Mom cranks Lover Boy or some shit. The Rink was definately a good time. I can still skate awesome but the wipeouts are a real motherfucker!!!

I'm at the bar, I check out an empty stool and looked at this drop dead gorgeous woman next to me and say, "Is this your seat" She replies, "MAYBE" (playful yet sturn) I say, "what do you want for it?" She replies, "What do you want?" I say, "to be smacked" She slaps me soft yet quick.... I say, "Is that all you got?" SHE FUCKEN hauls off and slaps the shit out of me, then gives me a sexy ass hug and whispers, "your cute". You should have seen the look on dudes faces. I was happy, I wanted to be spanked, but slapped worked perfectly fine in my tequila moment.

Denise - Hawaii is definately my favorite assignment but if I had my choice, Id live on Kauai. Oahu is much too crowded and the high rise condos just keep coming.
