"lots of money" huh, I may have to reconsider. I don't mind spending some cash but don't like not being able to enjoy... By time you wake up from a good one, its time for them to kick your ass out of there. And then again, what's the price of a DWI? (current price quote Dave?)

i doubt the spartan does sunday brunch. There is Paint Creek Tavern across street. Nothing like a stiff bloody Mary to get the morning after going.

You guys need to stop acting like you haven't been to the Spartan...

The Flamingo was Chippewa Valleys own Wardel.
A free cock roach with every visit and a step into your own personal decorated whorehouse.
Actually, that was a Lanse Cruise hang out as well. Every weekend like clock work. No ID needed.
Aaron sounds like your kind of place??? Didn't I see you there in 89?

10/03/08 11:29 AM #207

Aaron Polchowski (Tex)

My mind can run amuck, but Sheri can you define "personally decorated".

10/03/08 12:21 PM #208

Sheri Strang

Okay, that did not come across correctly.
Let's just say it had very imaginative decor with interesting viewing selections.
Are you telling me you were never at the Flamingo?
I knew lots of Chippewa people and that was where they went after games. Actually Grosse Pointe went there as well. I uh, was there to make sure that there was not any trouble. ;o)

Thanks Paul for bringing up the horrid Flamingo. I am just going deeper and deeper over here.
Aaron Stay at the Royal Park. It is a very nice hotel and they have excellent service and yes, a great Sunday Brunch.
It is a bit expensive but if you are coming here with the wife, it will be a nice weekend. :o)

there are several nice motels over there. Fraser Inn, and a few others that have slipped my mind. Sheri, can we get another one of your descriptions of these other fine establishments

Don't forget Bob's hangout... Bob Richie that is... The TelStar. Way back before anyone knew him.

Now, Paul why would you go ahead and pick on me. It is obvious you have been there yourself. :o)

High school students did not exactly get the cream of the crop for hotel parties. Hyatt's would toss you out.
Heck , even the Holiday Inn's in Livonia tossed kids out. Pool parties at the Holiday Inn were a blast though. Livonia Stevenson High School, hang out.

sure ive been there. one of those places you say, "what the fuck, have to see what this is all about!"

10/03/08 02:02 PM #213

Sheri Strang

You only live once and have to experience all kinds of people and all kinds of experiences.

Did you go to the TELSTAR concerts when Bob was there?

Oh, I see from your bio that some of these establishments would be great for your personal line of business. :o)

exactly with the line of work i am in. Vibrating beds are my specialty. Already designed one of those for a deaf person, but the bed was wired into an alarm clock and you didn't need to put quarters into it.

I am glad you are making the world a better place to live in for everyone.

I especially salute you for helping out the handicapped/handicapable community.

It is people like you that make a difference. :o)

it was more like a high gross profit job. that is what makes the world go around.

I am glad that you have your priorities straight.

How could you forget that 5 star hotel? So many great memories of the drunken teenage years...I just hope that our girls do not do half the stupid things that we did...and I think we were relatively good, weren't we???

10/03/08 04:15 PM #220

Dawn I admire your courage with 4 children to keep track of in the teen years. You will be able to write a book afterwards. Tracy you have 2 and I am sure you will know what your girls are doing before they do it.
My fiance always says, "When we have kids they will be in trouble as he has pulled all of the tricks and will be one step ahead of them."
I am sure that is what every generation believes.
The bottom line is raise your children and show them love and guidance and ultimately you hope they make the right decisions.
Seriously, did any of us do anything so horrible??? Like Vacca mentioned, there does not seem to to be anyone behind bars. :o)

Trac, best times were us all together doing stupid things and listening to beastie boys, and grilling at my house at 2am my mom was a sAINT

Your mom was a saint and still is. Joyce always loved us being close to her. What about those "Can't Buy Me Love" days? Good times.

I do think the same about my mom...she didn't know that I was having parties at my house and sneaking out all the time? Nice parental respect.

When I lived in Jackson, Wyo. around the age of 14/15; this was the spell of leaving Malow, telling everyone I was moving and then coming back, I think a few times, Anyway... my friend and I planned to run away to the mountains. Dirtbike, supplies bungied down to a little trailer to be pulled behind the dirtbike. "I really hated my dad. Times like that come to mind when our son and I don't get along and it helps me realize the transitions. Getting to the point....I don't remember my Dad or Mom ever really making that extra effort to "transition themselves" like I do creating the open relationship like I have with my son Ben. You know, the same "love" that it takes a bunch of "almost 40 yr olds" to find a way and communicate with each other after all these years. I thank God for giving me the will. (or was it something Dave laced in a joint????)
