Turk Burfiend

I am trying to be more social, instead of shy. I was never married or lived with a woman. I took up running in 1979 and competed in over 200 races; I received an award in at least three- fourths of the races I attended in my age group. I finished first overall in about five races when I was younger. I ran 10k's, half-marathons, marathons and various other distance races. During the respective years of age 44, 45, 50, and 51 I ran my age in miles within two months of my birthday. The last endeavor was running 51 miles in 8 hours and 45 minutes on March 8, 2006. I still run, but not race anymore.

I thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for the ability to accomplish many things. I love to sing hymns.

I grew up on the South Hill neghborhood. I attended Bordeaux Elementary School and walked to school. I lived on Wyandotte Avenue, the next block up from Euclid. I attended Shelton Junior High and then Shelton High School.

I was a stutterer and was very shy. I never had a girlfriend and never went to any dances.
I did go to the senior party. I enjoyed going to all the junior high and high school basketball and football games.
I was never in any group at the schools. I only did one activity; I ran Cross Country in my senior year.
