Janet Larson Hilderman

I went away for a few years of college and set out to make a life for myself. I have been lucky enough to meet interesting people and see many beautiful places. Since I am the reigning roller coaster queen, I have also had a few wild rides. I had lots of fun raising my children. We had many wonderful adventures and always get plenty of laughs when we look back over the years.
Thirty years after highschool I got a phone call from an old boyfriend, Bruce Hilderman. We have been married 20 years now. He shares my love of home, family and travel. We retired back to Shelton and just love it here. I do not miss the sunny skies of Hawaii and California. I like to hear the rain on the roof as I spend my days quilting and reading. Life is good!

I remember the night that several of us piled into a car and drove to Olympia to view the new freeway....the first one we'd ever seen. We marveled at the beautiful arched bridge that crossed over it and couldn't get over the fact that there were so many lanes. It was all lit up with the latest thing in street lights. It was dazzling. It seemed so modern. It's hard to believe that just a few years later we would watch a man walk on the moon! What a life!
