Where else have you lived over the years?

Just Navasota and we like it very much, great small town population around 6800.

Any Ideas yet on where you'd like to retire?

Right now its Colorado, we go there alot. Its beautiful country.

So do you still have family around Shepherd, TX?

no, my folks still live in Cleveland about 18 miles from Shepherd. I visit them often.

Do you ever get back to Shepherd?

not in a long time.

Have you kept up with anyone from the Class of '82?

not till recently.

So what did YOU do right out of high school?

got married and started a family.

So what other jobs did you do over the years?

worked at a bank in bookeeping for 3yrs.
currently work for the school district in Navasota and have for the last 14 yrs.

Any Grandkids yet?

no, thanks goodness!

So what is your favorite thing to do with spare time?

whats that!!! really I like to read, watch TV, go for walks

Travel much? What's some highs & lows of your travels over the years?

Yes, Colorado...its the place to go! We have went there many times over the years and I have to say the best trips are when we went skiing with our church group. Also have been to Yellowstone National Park...that was another great trip, seen lots of wildlife and it so beautiful. I would go again and recommend it to anyone. I've traveled to Washington DC and Virginia and several states in that area. Also been to Washington state and Montana, Utah and New Mexico....we go to NM quit alot since my son is stationed there in Air Force. Been alot of places and have loved every minute of it.

Any place you still want to go see?

Oh yes, California and the national forest there. Would love to go to Canada and Alaska too. Someday.....

What is your best memory of high school?

Our senior trip at Bandera in San Antonio, I like the horse riding and the dinner we had roasting hot dogs and marshmellows. Stayin up late and just playin cards with everyone, hangin out by the pool. It was a fun time.

What is your worst memory of high school?

Getting caught skippin class during senior year to go to Cleveland for lunch one day. Mr Rand caught me and sonya walters at least I think it was her leaving and we begged him not to tell our parents. Boy that was scarey. That was the first time I was ever in the principal's office in trouble.

Biggest thing you would do differently if we could go back?

Study harder and think more about college and what career I would choose and less about boys and being with the "cool group".

What's your favorite drinks? Foods? Music? Movies?

Sweet Ice Tea, Mexican food of course..., still love the 70's music, but mostly I listen to Contempory Christian and movies... I like action, mystery, romance stuff like that.

Met anyone famous or interesting over the years?

yeh I have... Met then Gov. George W. Bush and went to have dinner at the manison with him and Laura. They were great, very down to earth people. Enjoyed myself alot!

Chuck Norris has a ranch (Wolf Ranch)about 15 miles or so from my house in Navasota, he entertains folks there sometimes. He has been to several of our hometown football games in the years past.

Any "words of wisdom" from your life on this planet so far?

Live life to its fullest.. dont get hung up on the little things they will work out eventually. I realize that somethings need to be planned for and some things will just happen. Life can be great if you know from where it came....the Lord God.
