I know, my sophisticated humor is above Justin's head. He WAS in the Navy.

You know...I caught that Meat Loaf quote to and thought it was clever, but topics change so quick in here I forgot to say anything. Good one Mark! I remember playing McClellan and I think we only played them close once. I think the "rivalry" was probably a fan driven thing as we always seemed to have a wild crowd. We did take them down to the wire at McClellan my Sophomore or Junior year, but I was probably warming the bench!

It was just fun. We REALLY didn't want anyone hurt. We were too scared to go mess with Malvern, if you know what I mean.

We were just glad we got out of doing something so stupid unscathed. We were all 18 by then and I'm sure what we did was majorly against the law. But when you're that young you don't think 5 minutes ahead.

Wow! I never knew about that stuff. I think Mr. Brown WAS that good. He knew everything. He either had a crystal ball or CIA connections. Of course, the worst offense I was involved in was talking in study hall during roll call. Mr. King called myself, Sonya Hicks, Kelly Steed and I think a couple of others in for a paddling. We somehow talked our way out of it. Can you believe that-getting paddled for talking during roll call? That is serious old school discipline. How did you guys get out of that one? The manure thing sounds awful but considering the attitude that McClellan kids had about Sheridan it doesn't surprise me.

Malvern was an intense rivalry as well as JA Fair. I remember when my sister was in high school and we played them pretty close back when Kerry McCool was playing along with Chris Hooten, Reid Hawkins, Darrel Barnes, Danniwayne Smith...those guys. I remember the Malvern fans threw bricks at our bus over at their place.

Chuck, thinking back,I believe Mr Brown covered for us. He knew we were just age-stupid. I really considered him my favorite "educator". I didn't hear about his passing until after the fact. He was one of those people that influence the rest of your life.

I would agree Mark. Mr. Brown was a great V. Principal. He cared alot about me I know that. I was on his OOTM team back in 82/83. We finished 2nd at State and I thought he was a cool dude.
