Mark, I stand temporally, eternally and most humbly corrected. :)

Pat did have the Grand Natl....I included a link back a few posts.

How many of you "older" gents remember when Glenn Nooner got his Trans Am? Or how 'bout Jimmy Easley's...um...cool, wedgy-looking car? Didn't it have one of the first digital dashboards?

Justin James (1986)

I remember Jimmy's car but for the world of me can not think of what kind it was? But i for one could not afford the gas for one let alone having a car!

Mark Avant (1985)

I do remember Glen's T/A and I believe Jimmy's car was a Subaru of some type.

Air1 is a contemporary Christian station...Christian music has come a LONG way in my opinion. Some of the stuff actually gets played on MTV these days. Lots of heavy guitars for a metal-head like me. : )

And I'm not ashamed to admit that I like some Air Supply...but I haven't spent any MONEY on it...at least not since I had the greatest hits on cassette WAY BACK.

Also, as to gas prices. If you'll look on page 12 of the '85
yearbook you can see the Road Runner's gas prices. I do believe I have a photo somewhere of the Midget Market and our price was 70 cents. I would scan it but I don't have the capability where I'm at.

note to self! If you dont spend money on Air Supply it's OK got it, so now i can come out of the Air Supply closet! :)

Hey Vicki, does Stryper still wear the bee suits? If you like Air Supply, that means you like Barry Manilow.

12/08/08 03:58 PM #779

Justin James (1986)

What happened to the Road Runner, does any one remember who ran through the window? LOL have you ever been to a Manilow concert? women every where with a very large age range from teens to 80's! It's not a bad gig!

12/08/08 04:00 PM #780

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

LOL! Is Stryper even still around? I remember one or more of them (maybe all of them) looked prettier than girls!

12/08/08 04:01 PM #781

Mark Avant (1985)

Yep, they're still around although sans bee suits. Although it does look like they've been stung by bees.

Very cool Aaron. I must admit my computer skill are far inferior to yours. But yeah the GNX (as it was known to gear heads) was what Mr.Vader would use to go get groceries.

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

I was looking for a good Stryper video to put here...but most of what they had was TERRIBLE quality...so instead, I present to you... KUTLESS...the new era of Christian rock...

Not bad, very Staindish. Without the language of course.Hey where'd it go Aaron? I was on Google Earth the other day and got the corner of Oak and Vine just down from my old house.

Becky Millard (Pruitt) (1987)

Oooh I LOVE Kutless!!! Thank you, Vic!!

I agree with Vic on Air Supply - you just couldn't be an 80's girl if you didn't stop the MINUTE you heard one of their songs and wistfully thought about "the" boy - whoever he was at the time....

Aaron Wilson (1988)

Sorry guys... I'm trying to repost my GNX memory...photos & all. I just blew this page out of whack!
Give me a sec...

Funny - I can remember the day I first saw Pat's car. I had only heard about it - and the talk was big. I was mowing grass at the Medi-Save Drug Store when it was still back by the two dentist's offices and before Crossley merged with McCoy-Tygart and before the Medi-Save bldg became another flash-in-the-pan movie rental/pizza parlor (sorry, I digress). But I was somewhere around here. So I was mowing, and stopped to wipe the beading sweat from my brow. And as I looked up, I saw it. Gliding. Hovering. Cruising ever so smoothly down the street. "Do my eyes deceive me?!" I thought to myself. Was the heat getting to me? What IS that? WHO is that? Darth Vader? It's so awesome... so stealth... so... black! Ahhh (rubbing chin) I can picture it like it was yesterday.

Mark - may this link motivate you to write about the Midge.

Yes you can sense me grinning thru my typing.I'm going to add Showtime to my service so I can watch it. I thought I was good at some of those games. Many memories Aaron. You may be a little young, cause I was very young. But do you remember the 1st video game that came to town and it's location. And what the console was used for?

12/08/08 04:35 PM #792

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

WOW, Aaron! You must be bored today! : )

Of course, you know you're gonna have to come over here to entertain us every day now. We have expectations.

12/08/08 04:36 PM #793

Justin James (1986)

12/08/08 04:38 PM #794

Justin James (1986)

12/08/08 04:46 PM #795

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

WAIT A MINUTE!!!! HOLD THE PHONE!!!!

Not to interrupt all this car talk...but why is it that the females are so much more willing to divulge personal info? I don't think I've read a SINGLE guys response to the "kiss" question in the profile...

There has to be a psychological thing there...

My personal favorite game at the Midge was SINISTAR.

12/08/08 04:49 PM #796

Mark Avant (1985)

I would tell who I kissed 1st, just can't remember. Honestly. I do believe it means more to girls.
