Wow!! It's probably good that I work outdoors! I wouldn't get any work done during the day. Mark, has the concrete industry shut down over there or are you kicked back on your workstation? "Not right now Lumberg...I am kind of busy..."

Becky Millard (Pruitt) (1987)

Wowie! I miss so much when I have to work..... Hayrides were DEFINITELY worse than school dances where the boys stand on one side and the girls on the other and if you DID dance, it was the side-to-side shuffle.

Curtis Ferrell (1989)

hey all just joined yesterday...it is nice to see yall again

Mark Avant (1985)

Chuck, actually we're kinda busy. Or we will be. We have some highway dept work coming up Thurs/Fri if the weather holds. I've been dealing with them off and on today. Will get worse as the week goes on.

12/10/08 12:28 AM #1029

Jamie Gartman (1989)

Yeah Becky, and remember if you were doing the side-to-side shuffle you had to leave room in the middle for the Holy Spirit. Now that they've banned the Holy Spirit from public school dances, you see what you get- dirty dancing!

Curtis, good to see you on here.

Mark, Highway Dept. stuff is stressful I am sure. Hope the weather holds for you. We got alot of snow here last night. Spanish Peaks got 3 feet. We had about 1 foot and I spent the day moving snow for clients. Should I package some snowballs for you guys?

12/10/08 01:22 AM #1031

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

Mark, forget the stressful stuff. Remembering my history, all of the major government work projects in the '30's (WPA, CCC-River Dams and Highways) during the Depression were concrete stuff. If our economy continues to go South, you are going to be busy and laughing all the way to the bank. Concrete industry (forgive the pun) has always "rocked" during economic hard times. Good choice on your career. You guys should do well over the next few years.

Chuck, post some pictures of the clean snow out there some of us have not seen snow in years!!!!

whats the weather like out there today! Raining and thunder storms, cold front moving in low tomorrow night of 32! i dont mind cold weather the problem here is its cold a couple of days then back into the 60's for a few days the right back down, then back up all winter long!

Wow, 3 feet off snow. I bet those resorts out there are loving life. Out here we have 2 or 3 but until later they have to make their own. It's like skiing on crushed ice. Not near as good as the real stuff.
We have been slower. Haven't done any residential stuff for awhile. Luckily we have the Univ of Va here and the med center and they have quite a bit of work going. So we'll see.

It's 34 degrees here and looks like it wants to snow...but it prolly won't cuz it NEVER does. Try not to get hit by a tornado, Justin! Those storms looked pretty bad heading your way.

12/10/08 11:45 AM #1036

Justin James (1986)

Thanks Vicki, the storms were bad this morning woke me up about 3:00 am, its been raining off and on on day!

12/10/08 12:07 PM #1039

Vicki Ausbrooks (Shaw) (1988)

No, I just went to the help forum to find out, but there's nothing on there about it. Strange.

Hi.

David, SUPER-GRIN comin' your way!

I use the heels for breading. I toast them, stick them in a food processor and bread stuff with them. Works great.

The lack of videos MAY be temporary. Turns out they ACCIDENTALLY removed the ability from the forum. I'll keep you posted.

But I wanted to put a Def Leppard video on here!!! *whining*

If you haven't checked out the 88 blog today, you should...it's CLASSIC.

You can get to it through the SHS Links on the left.

Be sure and leave Aaron a comment. I don't know where he gets some of this stuff!
