Awww Mark, You know you wanted to challenge Mike Shannon, David Mills, Chip Wooley, and Gordon Brodsky at the SHS Break Dance Challenge!!

Mark Avant (1985)

Chip Wooley? Mike Shannon? Maybe in the jazz or tap categories. Did Shannon listen to anything other than the Lawrence Welk orchestra? Maybe every once in a while he'd spice it up with Herb Albert and the Tiajuana Brass.

Ha! Mike was a secret Break Dancer! He used to show us his moves in Mrs. Wilson's Physics class. He prided himself with his version of "the wave". I believe they call it "pop and lock" these days...

But...I don't think Dancing with the Stars is gonna be knockin' at his door anytime soon...

I thought when he was doin' his drum major thing he was throwin' in a little funk direction. My dancing was confined to Charlie Goodnights. No breakin' though, just the Bruce Springsteen white boy special.

Chuck Schwartz (1985)

Charlie Goodnights! Wow...do I feel old. I had completely forgotten about that place! I didn't even attempt Bruce Springsteen's mode of operation. I was born with two left feet. However my honey still drags me out to ballroom dance lessons. She loves it and its good for us.

And she can rip on the dance floor!

Also, as to Aaron's superpowers. It's really gonna take a lot to top Freedom Jam, I'm afraid it's all downhill from here on out.

With meticulous and delicate precision - surpassed only by those privy to the sacred manuscripts from the Qumran caves - he loads the VHS cassette into the machine (and is thankful it wasn't recorded on Beta). Uncertainty still lurks in his mind as he remembers the 1986 program (of which he boasted earlier) doesn't match the date scribbled on this cassette label:

"Talent Show 85".

Could he have missed it by just one year?

Since "fate" and "luck" are both myths in his mind, he offers up a quick prayer as he presses "PLAY". The 4-head helical scanning device with it's familiar high-pitched hum soon reveals the content of this ancient recording...

Dude, I really need some Cocoa Pebbles. It's taking too much time to write this & look up all these words.

So here's the deal: I found the tape. And I've got the "Crew" and the "Rockers" on film.
I've informed my wife that she's married to a hero. In fact, my super powers have gone to my head and I've been thinkin' that I deserve a little something for my efforts. Here are my demands - I'll only state them once, so write them down.

1. Chuck - make sure the cape has a large red "A" on it.
2. Jamie - pay up, buddy. Good money.
3. Mark - when the first draft of the Midget Market Chronicles appears in my Inbox, I'll provide the video.

I'm serious about the Cocoa Pebbles.

*IF* I were to even admit that *I* ever was a breakdancer... I *MIGHT* admit here on this forum that not only was I a charter member of the "Rock You Crew"... but that I actually came up with the name.

I might also go in to the history of that esteemed organization that *MIGHT* have orignally consisted of Scott, Myself, Barry... which then merged with Jason and Jeremy... known as the "________ street Rockers" (I forget the name of the street that Jason lived on.)

And then I would possibly go on to explain the great sundering... whereupon I stopped... ahem... "dancing"... altogether... and Scott went on to join the Brodskys in their rural organization.

But, unfortunately, as I do not acknowledge that chapter in my life as having ever happened, I will not be able to provide that information here. I am sorry.

on another note... as the Crime Lab Network guy... I am having to adress the fact that our bandwidth is pegged on our dual T1 lines... so I am having to really cut down on surfing... and if I am having to tighten down on the employees, I gotta do the same thing... so I am not able to be on here as much... I am not ignoring you guys... I am in front of a computer all day.. I just cant come participate in the conversation that often.

Which kinda stinks... but you know.

FREAKAZOID is a GREAT song! I'll have to add that one to the list of vids to put on here when they fix their problem.

Pony up, Mark, Chuck, & Jamie...I really wanna see these Talent Show vids.

Steve, the crackdown sucks.

Did anyone else notice the time stamp on Aaron's post. Does he sleep, ever. Maybe he doesn't need sleep. This would explain a lot. And the interviews are in progress, as they say just collating data. And few pictures exist, but there are some. Be patient powerful one. It will materialize.

It is more dress up like Brittany (school girl) or a pussycat doll!!!! Hey, Vicki we could dress up like the members of the pussycat dolls!!!! Then we could sing "when I grow up"!!! My 13 yr old would die. No one wants to see their mom like that. LOL!!!

12/11/08 12:27 PM #1089

Justin James (1986)

I want to be on the record for this statement if you all are going to dress up like the pussycat dolls or a school girl etc, i need a friend of "88" invitation that would be too good to miss!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get your parachute pants out just yet folks... the breakdance videos aren't lookin' too good on YouTube.

I'm having the guys in our video department take a shot tomorrow... we'll see if they can salvage anything.

If I can't provide the goods, I'll humbly repent in sackcloth and ashes.
