There is a picture of me in a yearbook with a jogging suit on. I think it was my Junior year. Mark, my wife had the same comment when she saw that dude's hair.

"jogging suit" [he shudders] It just sounds wrong.

I am very poetical in my humor.

i have this picture stuck in my mind! Chuck, Vicki, Becky, Bridget and Stacey all on there linked up treadmills *so they can solve all the problems of the world together* running just as fast as they can, holdin onto one anothers hand, trying to get away into the night, then you put your arounds around each other and you tumble to the ground and then you say, i think were alone now there doesnt seem to be any one around!

Instead of "trying to get away into the night", maybe you could use "running with the shadows of the night"

Nice lyrics Justin! Who was that again? Debbie Gibson? I think I like Pat Benatar more! Solving the world's problems one treadmill run at a time! Oh, and the "Jogging suit" picture is on page 135 in the 1984 Yellowjacket. It was like a "Where's Waldo" pursuit but I found it. Jogging suit is a scary description. How about Retro-Running Attire?

Funny, that's exactly how I comb my hair now. Now we have to watch out for Aaron AND Justin. I've been Sunshinerolled!!

Chuck I guess that is pretty bad. I tried to cover it up with the original artist but Chuck wasn't buying. Like Magnum PI or something.

I have posted this somewhere, maybe here I'm not sure. I was teaching college freshmen last year and I made a comment about "wax on, wax off"....NOTHING! NOTHING I tell you. Not even a glimmer of recognition. So I made the mistake of asking, you know thinking they were just hung over from the night before or still asleep....nope. They didn't know what I was talking about. Some had heard of KK movies, that was about it! UGH!!!
Side note: This year's college freshmen were born in 1990.
This is something I present every fall to our professors. Thought it might interest some of you.

Wow! I can't believe kids haven't heard of Karate Kid. I taught HS for 14 years. Most of the kids learned pop culture through their parents. Some were really in the know and some were not. Mark you really feel old when you do a parent/teacher conference and the dad says yes sir to you!! Thats when I look behind me to see who he is talking to!! I have also been thinking...you guys make running on a treadmill out to be like "Aerobicize" (remember that show?) or like some fruity experience like rhythmic gymnastics. We are still talking about running here! Running hurts like h-e double hockey sticks!

The one I remember was the 20 Minute Workout. It was so racy they had to put it on late at nite. Hubba Hubba. I don't do any of my exercisin' outside, except what I do with my dogs.
I use my bowflex and my elliptical. 20 minutes a day 3 days a week-yeah right, maybe if you're 25. I still like to eat!

I consider Karate Kid essential to every child's education - like School House Rock.... My kids were required to watch it - how else were they going to benefit from my words of wisdom (which seemed to be a mixture of KK, PeeWee Herman, and Pretty in Pink... :)

Running is GOOD for you.....I promise!!! :) It's the easiest workout ever - no gadgets to use, just put on your running shoes, walk out the door and go.....

Justin, we still have some snow, most of it has melted. We had about 4-5 inches last week and really cold temps. -5 a couple of nights and highs around 10 during the day. Its pretty warm now. I am going to Breckenridge for New Years! (Where they filmed Dumb and Dumber-Maybe I will ride a mini-bike over Independence Pass!) So there are pros and cons to the Winter! Mark, you mean tights and leg warmers? Gotta go defeat the Kobra Kai now!
