Oh....so you don't actually get the $6 million...then I'm out...

The Six Million Dollar Man debuted in March of 1973. The CPI in March of 1973 was 44.4

The CPI last month was 218.783...

I am not good with math... but I THINK that this means that in adjusted dollars, the six million dollar man would be the $29,565,270.27 man today if you didnt figure in the lower cost of computer parts....

but I think that the computer controller would not be the majority of the cost... and... since he was an astronaut originally who crashed and burned in a test plane... I can not help but think it was the government who rebuilt him... and one thing we know about the government is that it is innefficient with money... rather than paying $20 for a bionic piston, they would set up a department of bionic piston evaluation and testing and pay five people full time wages to make sure they got their $20 worth out of that piston.

The bigger question is this... would the six million dollar man run Windows Vista?

discuss.

I still enjoy live music, but after all the concerts i have been too as i get older the best time i have ever had was at a Jimmy Buffet show! I have seen him about 20 times from indoor shows to large outdoor shows to a little hole in the wall show at Lulu's! he makes the whole crowd want to get up and party!

Alright. I need some insanity that I can handle. I just spent a day teaching 3rd graders. Sometimes being a substitute teacher can be painful.
The really weird thing is that I am the sub that they beg to get back.

I have a vague recollection of Battle of the Planets. I remember the music and the winged orphans. I will admit to watching Greatest American Hero too, although I don't remember much about it other than he had to have the costume on to have any powers.

In the early 1970s, Japan's Tatsunoko Production company created a television show called "Science Nija Team Gatchaman"

it was re-cut and shown on American TV as both "Battle of the Planets" and G-force.

They just released Gatchaman on DVD. I kinda know one of the voice actors who did some of the dubbing. They are currently making a CGI movie of it.

Alex Ross did a pretty sweet painting for the sleeve of the gatchaman box set.

Greatest American Hero... who cares... as long as it has Connie Sellecca in it, I am on board.

...and for the discount price of $76.99... you can get the entire series WITH a cape and notebook
