Breit Hicks (1989)

Hey everyone. I can't log on from work anymore. I will get to log on from time to time at home, but probably not more than once or twice a week. The kids keep me really busy at home.

I have read the posts a couple of times. Here are some comments I have been saving.

Richard, I appreciate the effort you put forth so that we can still stay together and chat. Apparently you are no longer banned from the other site. Maybe you could go back to the old sight and post a message on the main page instructing everyone to come here. I would, but I really don't want to get banned myself. I haven't yet been offensive to anyone..yet, so I am trying to stay behaved.

Melody, you have always been a little offensive, irritating, pushy, and somewhat overbearing but I wouldn't change you a bit (b/c I love you.) I think the best thing for you to do is be assured of yourself and consistent in your actions. Don't let Lana shake you. About that fight with Katie Choate, I think you could take her now.

David, you calling yourself fat..What does that make me? Fatter than fat??

Jamie, don't encourage Richard with the porn. I don't want to get viruses on this computer.

Robert, I liked the look you had with the long hair, but man I really loved the muppets. I wish that I would have gotten to know you better in high school. The wit you display, the hugging of the president( I must've cut that assembly), and the look you display is truly awesome. It is good to hear from you.

Paul, Hey man good to hear from you. Are there really such things as e-babies? The more I think about it, the more I wonder. I don't know about you playing football again, but I wonder if we couldn't have a really good kickball tournament during the weekend of the reunion.

Crystal, why exactly are you trying to meet everyone under the bleachers? Do you remember the RATT concert? I honestly do not. But when we would ride around in Hignight's truck listening to "Round and Round", I had some major flashbacks. My wife and I went to see Rod Stewart last year. Man, talk about an old crowd. It was my favorite concert of all times. I do not know why I used to think that going to a concert meant getting inebreated(spell check). I have forgotten a lot of fun that I must've had. I do think that I remember you and I going to a number of consecutive shows though. Good times.

Missy, don't let these guys ruin you, and by the way, you look great. Are you gonna to persuade Linda Fowler to come to this site? She should post some messages. She would be super fun to pick on.

Stacy, You look great too. Someone told me that you took up for Richard when he was banned. I think that is very commendable (Hey Richard, can you include a spell check here?). I am glad, yet surprised, to see you over here on Richard's site. I feel that you should be warned that this does tarnish my image of you. Keep in mind, "If you lay with dogs, you are bound to get fleas." My grandfather, however, always said that "If you have a flea problem, then you should get a dog."

Can anyone please remind me of the definition of an oxymoron?

Did I miss anyone? I guess what I am attempting is to get back into the mix.
Breit

Lea, do you still have the bananna obsession going? I still cannot eat one without thinking of you.

11/02/08 10:39 AM #181

Richard Wade (1989)

Breit glad to see you here!!! And Just FYI I do have fleas!! lol And as far as being fat, I thought you were a math instructor, so you should know the round is a shape right? The more rounder the more shaplier right? Spell check is bad!! Without it, we give smart people something to laugh at!!! And you know my girl Stacy has my back!!! You must have been one of thos guys that just drove around and watch her lay out behind her house!! I look at her for her intellectual beauty!!! ;-) No pun stacy!!!! Gartman put a post on the other site and it was deleted in a matter of minutes!!!!

I was asking Crystal about everybody getting together one night somewhere she said it sounded like a good idea! I am extremely busy in Critical Care but could squeeze a night in somewhere! I might set up a poll or just have everybody comment on here as to when and where. It is really weird how we can go for 10 to 20 years and not talk to people and yet pick back up as i it were just a weekend off during school! Although my weekend entitled going bald and getting shapelier!!! LMAO!! Vicki Ausbrooks has put together a great website called jacket-house.com and has a lot of pics and videos there!! I have been added back to her site and enjoy talking to everyone there as well!!! I don't want this site to be a competitive site for our 89 site, just a place to go and, if you have hair, let your hair down and talk with old friends and not be policed!! Everyone has their own opinions and the differences are what make us unique and special!!! I can't dilike someone for being a Republican or Democrat, Religious views, or making fat jokes about David! lol but hopefully we can just have fun!!! If you do have a problem with me or someone else, we are all adults, just go to them personally by private message and talk with them!! High schol was ove 20 years ago!! Thanks to everyone who has joined and used this site. It probably would have been easier for someone who knew anything about computers and who could type with more than 3 fingers!!!

Dang I just read what I wrote, Sure doesn't sound like The Richard I went to high school with!! LMAO!!

Crystal Clark (Cole) (1989)

Good to see you back, Breitta! As much as I hate to admit it, I don't remember RATT or most other concerts from those days. I mean, I know I was there and I'm sure much fun was had, but the details are fuzzy at best. Did you put something in my soda???

To set the record straight, I'm NOT trying to meet anyone under the bleachers! That was David's idea, and I was just too polite to tell him no. Daaang! Still carrying around this bad girl perception, I see. I never met anyone under the bleachers in my whole life!!! (I did make out on the pole vault mat one time though!)

Mel, you have not once offended me or even come close! Hunny, you just be yourself and everything will be fine. Parents, as well-meaning as they are, can really screw us up as adults and you have obviously recognized that. All we can do is try not to repeat their mistakes with our own children.

As far as anybody being offended by anything posted here, I suppose they should do exactly what Lana did, and that is... make the choice not to read it! However, I'm sorry she was offended and even more sorry that it upset those who unintentionally offended her. Maybe we should all join hands and sing, "We Are The World."

Robert Welch (1989)

Can I be Springsteen?

11/02/08 05:05 PM #185

Jamie Gartman (1989)

Yeah, Robert, but I wanna be Prince.

"...but those mutha's aren't the world without me. I am also the world. I am also the children. I am the one who makes a brighter day, but just don't push me."

Anyone remember that SNL skit?

Missy Ketchum (Warren) (1989)

Breit! Its sooo good to see you back again!!!! I missed you! I am not sure half the people on here really remembers me so don't worry about me getting ruined on here! LOL! I will tell Linda to get onto this site. I actually spoke to her on the phone the other day and we were talking about how excited we were about the reunion coming up and seeing everyone again. Paul, where did you go? 1st we lost Breit on here for a little while, now he is back, and your gone! Whats up with that? LOL! Richard, keep the 80's coming! My husband and I are loving it! Breit "Cool" Hicks, your grandfather was a VERY wise man. Do you have anymore quotes of knowledge from him? I will definately use the one about dogs and fleas!

SOMEBODY GET MELODY A PROZAC! HAHAHA! JUST KIDDING MEL. YOU KNOW THE MAJORITY OF US LOVE YOU. AS FOR THE ONES THAT DON'T, WHO NEEDS 'EM?

RICHARD - HOW ABOUT YOU START DOING THE QUOTE OF THE DAY. I BET THEY WOULD BE FUNNIER.

David Fort (1989)

...and NO, I am not "yelling". Just being lazy and leaving caps lock on.

11/03/08 10:00 PM #193

Linda Fowler (Ricketson) (1989)

Breit...are you looking for me? Have you had a chance to check out the pictures I posted of you?
Richard, that was a great video you put together. You should do one with the pictures from our 10 year, I have a few that I can send you.

11/04/08 03:23 AM #194

Richard Wade (1989)

Linda please forward them to me!! I will be glad to post them!! Any certain song you want them to?

11/04/08 12:57 PM #195

David Fort (1989)

Jamie - That music collection is awesome. Did you come up with the playlist on that by yourself or did you have help from requests. I thought of a few while I was going thru them. I will give them to you later. Some of these songs bring back memories for sure. Not all of them good. I remember at one of the middle school dances I danced with Tammy Walker when, as Jamie so delately put it, she was a little pudgy. The song was Dirty Laundy, and I swear that night it was longer than In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. Of course later Tammy ended up looking really good and I thought more fondly of the song.

Lea Hedrick (Rentch) (1989)

Hi everyone-- it's been a while, haven't been able to get on the site. Richard I thought you didn't love me anymore!

Hey Breit! Obsession over the banana, never thought about it that way! But yes, I guess. He's made his way to Belize, Honduras, Acuna Mexico, Cancun, Cozumel, Bahamas, and Charleston South Carolina over the past few years. I always seem to find somewhere to leave my little piece of Graffiti for the world to see. Still haven't made it to Jamaica though. I'm waiting on Brooks to join me for that one! Anyone told her about this site?

11/04/08 05:52 PM #197

Missy Ketchum (Warren) (1989)

Hey Linda, I guess you got my email about your requests to get on here from Breit! LOL! Yea, I am sooo glad your on here now!!! LOL! Where did my other girls Gayla and Mandy go on here? LOL! You too Paul!

11/04/08 07:25 PM #198

Jamie Gartman (1989)

Richard, I've got some pics from the 10 year reunion also. I've got to get them on a disk and I'll get them to you.

David, so far the only request I've gotten is from Stacy-Buttermilk Biscuits. HOO HOOOOO!

I just can't think about High School and not picture the low riders blasting Sir Mix A Lot!

Missy Ketchum (Warren) (1989)

Ummmm........I rock Buttermilk Biscuits on my ipod now! LOL! I know, I know, its really a sad thing. I am stuck in the 80's still. I listen to some of "todays" music too but the majority of what I listen to is the 80's. From hair bands to hip hop. My oldest son gets soooo embarassed when I play my ipod in the van. LOL! One of Jacob's, my middle son, favorite songs is Baby Got Back. He knows ALL the words! I know, like I said before, it is a SAD situation! LOL!

11/04/08 10:00 PM #201

Richard Wade (1989)

Send me the disc or email them to me. I'll get them up!!!
