I grew up as a little kid as the Crider family was close to my parents. Nelson was always a happy go lucky except when he stole Katie Mckinley from me in the 4th grade at Coffeen? HA I miss him

My heart goes out to the tremendous loss both the family and the community have endured in the loss of the Crider twins. I had the privelage of knowing and riding with the both of them. THEY WERE THE TRUE EPITOME of the Wyoming Cowboy. May their heritage live to inspire others to continue the Legacy of the American Cowboy.

Dang it Nels! I was really looking forward to some jitterbugging this summer at the reunion. You were a terrific dancer and it was my favorite part of coming back to Sheridan for rodeo weekend. You will be missed!

I was a friend of both Neal and Nelson when they lived in Frostburg, Maryland back in the mid 1970's. Nelson and I became good friends when we were in the 8th grade and attended several of the same classes at Beall Jr./Sr. High School. Even though I originally knew Neal through being friends with Nelson, Neal and I became good friends in our 9th grade year when we also attended several of the same classes. I remember Neal being the more reserved and studious twin and Nelson was the cut up of the bunch. Both were on the wrestling team, (I wasn't), and when we studied wrestling in gym class, I was Nelson's practice dummy in the 8th grade and Neal's practice dummy in the 9th grade.

Both twins and I hung out together outside of school as well. I vividly remember one rainy night over at their house when we stood up on the hill and hurled rotten apples at the cars passing on the road below. Luckily, we didn't hit any of them because we would have been in big trouble.

I remember them talking about Sheridan, Wyoming and how they missed it. I moved away after 9th grade and we lost touch. I later heard from friends that they had moved back to Wyoming. Recently, I did a search for their names on the internet and was very shocked and saddened to learn that both twins had passed away.

Although, I'm not a Sheridan graduate, I appreciate the opportunity to write a comment on your website about Neal and Nelson. I have fond memories of both.

Everybody was in love with Katie. I'm sad to see fellow elementary classmates passing. I had many a laugh with the Crider twins. Cheers to you all. Ryan Behunin.
