One of the things I remember about Janet was she was a friend to everyone she met!! I don't think anyone had anything bad to say about Janet. She was a class act all the way around. She is missed.

Enid White

This year Janet White will not make it to her reunion. But if she had been able to be there, the main topic of conversation would have been her children. Janet lived her life for her children. She was the room mother for their grade school classes, the chaperone for the junior high and high school functions, the go to mother for treats, and the wardrobe and scenery designer for many school plays. Her goal in life was to insure that her children were always safe and cared for.

Janet has two wonderful children that she was so proud of. Julina, her oldest, graduated from high school with honors and excelled in track, volleyball and academics. Whenever Julina had a meet, you could always hear Janet cheering her on in the crowd. Julina will be graduating from American River College in Sacramento California with her Associates degree in American Sign Language. She was named Ms. Sacramento this year and will reign until this summer. Julina runs track for her college and is currently ranked first in her district (Northern California for Junior Colleges) and will be competing in the state track meet this month. Julina competes in distance running and the steeple chase. She also played volleyball for her college. Julina hopes to use her sign language skills to better the lives of those individuals who are hearing impaired.

Patrick will be graduating from East High School in Cheyenne this year and excelled in football, track, and basketball. Janet travelled all over the state of Colorado to watch Patrick play football, basketball, and compete in track. She sat through many freezing cold games which were worse on her due to her medical condition, but she would bundle up and brave whatever weather there was to see Pat play. Patrick will be staying in Cheyenne to attend Laramie County Community College and is looking at venturing on the University of North Carolina in the near future. Patrick will be working on a sports medicine degree and hopes to become a sports trainer.

As many of you remember, Janet had a terrific sense of humor, which was quite infectious. She made the lives of many more pleasant just be being in the room. She passed this great quality on to her children and I see Janet in them whenever they talk.

As you look back on your yearbook this reunion, stop and look at the horses that adorn the pages. Janet spent a lot of time drawing those for her graduating class, and that is her small but lasting contribution to each of you.

When Janet was diagnosed with Lupus in high school, there were many individuals in your class that helped her through the ups and downs. One of those individuals is also not with you. Kathy Watson was a tremendous help spiritually and personally. I can imagine the two of them up in heaven laughing it up talking about old times. Please keep them both in your thoughts and prayers.

oh Enid.......thanks soooo much for that wonderful write up on Janet. I got watery eyes reading it.

Please feel free to add pictures here on Janet's profile of her and the kids, it would be great to see. You can also update them as often as you would like. I am sure people would love to see those great kids!!!

You are right......Janet and Kathy Watson are laughing it up big time on the other side. I have a feeling their presence will be felt at our 30th reunion July 17--19.
